Wonderful

I was just about to start dinner and an idea hit. Lucky It was easy night so I gave Elysha left overs and went to my craft room. I was thinking about peacock feathers and the colours and the new die I have from Papertrey for feathers anti came together quite well I thought. Both of these feathers have been cut from the front of this card and then put back into the negative space. I coloured the feathers

with Distress Inks, then removed all the little bits and coloured the feathers a bit heavier. I then used double sided sheet inside the card across the area where the feathers would go back into. I put the feathers into place then all the little bits which I then decided to cover with 'Wink of Stella'.

Once they were all secured in place and glittered up, I added a couple of gems that have the most amazing colours that bounce around in them. Finished it off with a silver mirror cardstock die cut'Wonderful'.
Now I have the stamped ones to colour but I realised I needed to get dinner for the DH and myself and get this card uploaded before the challenge Closes.

Challenges:

Peacock colours
ohh 10 hrs left I might get that other card done anyway :)

An Altenew Flower and a Couple of Piglets

An interesting Title hey!! Got you thinking, no I haven't combined the two. I have made two cards and the sentiment for the Piglets card is too long for my title.

Now my first card is the flower from the Moms Best Altenew flower set. I LOVE this flower, so much potential and so easy to colour and I splurged and bought the die for it. I've seen so many beautiful samples its like where do I start, maybe I should do a flower a day in as many ways as possible. Now that would be interesting, probably the longest part of that process would be chasing up the inspiration links.

I saw a card where the flower was only partly cut out and I liked that so decided to follow that idea and I mentioned in a previous post the way Janet showed off the coloured dimensional foam under the card layer. Lucky for me I had one piece of blue left (ratssss) and it was just enough with a little

surgical assistance for the panel. I did the same amount of die cut on the blue foam  and the coloured image and managed for once to get it right first go. Forgot to mention the colouring is Copics.

I even managed to remember to stamp my sentiment before adhering the front panel. (stamped, stamped where is that stamped sentiment, why its in the bin with the rest of that card). First as I was attaching the front panel I noticed mmm a smear here and a smear there and where did that come from and how will I cover that then I looked at the sentiment, the smeared sentiment). #$%%^^^%%^%$$$## (thats me swearing ok!!)

I managed to remove the foam backed front panel with minimal damage, yes thats why I have a delicate little star sitting on the flower, to cover the tear). I reattached to the next card and added a silver mirror die cut 'Celebrate' and a few sequins and I was back to happy.
I love that blue foam look. You can really see it here and its bloody brilliant I say.

Now to this cutie patootie

Stamp from Stamping Bella, so simple to colour, still working on my pig colours.
But happy enough here.

After colouring I added some green for the grass their sitting on and some Wink of Stella
on the flowers. One layer card, so simple and isn't that sentiment just the best.

'The Best way to
cheer yourself up,
is to try to cheer
somebody else up.'

He was a clever man that Mark Twain.

This statement comes with the piglets. Card is finished off with some mixed sequins.

Challenges:

It's Girl Time

Todays card is a nice simple card. First I have coloured this digital image that I have had for some time and finally got it out to colour. This wonderful image is another from Mo's Digital Pencil . I cant stop purchasing her images especially at this time as she is releasing images nearly every day and if you purchase on the day of release they are mostly $2- you cant go wrong. Go check out the website, get on the email list and you will know each time a new image is released. They are so so cute and of course there are lots of new Halloween and Christmas and so much inspiration from her Design Team.

After I coloured the image I cut the panel out slightly smaller than the card base. I then used this beautiful pink with gold dots washi tape on each side so it looks like peter paper. Its so pretty and I really enjoy using the washi tape this way. Especially the ones that have gold or silver foil touch to them.

I used coloured fun foam to lift the coloured image slightly from the card base. I have sheets and sheets of this fun foam, none in white, all in bright colours and I have always cut smaller so it was not visible but I changed that after seeing this card ,by Janet at 'Swanlady Impressions' who does the most amazing cards and I have followed for many years.
As you can see with this photo I have done it so the colour shows at the bottom and on the left and I really like that.

Here you can see my colouring with copics. Aren't they so cute! Nails all painted
and the youngest eating her cucumber rather than bathe her eyes.

Just one enamel heart up in the corner. Sentiment comes with the image. Its good to not that Mo doesn't sell her images coloured in, so you know people are colouring what they purchase. Also a lot of her images that start out as digitals end up being sold at Penny Black. Love her style.

Challenges:

A new to me challenge that looks really lovely.
Check out the inspiration there.

Sorry no button found so did a screen shot.
Must use a Mo image for this challenge.

Welcome Little One

A card for a friend's daughter who is having a baby soon. I don't know if its a boy or girl so just went rainbow and it will be fine. Love this stamp from Stampin Bella, I don't think I have any other rubber stamps of pregnant woman. I do have digital ones and they are lovely but I'm trying at the moments to make sure I use my stamps so stamped onto cardstock for Copics.

Lots of colouring and bits of blending. Finished the colouring off with my glitter gel pens and used the colours to match what was being coloured. You can see the shimmer here.

I did two layers with the rounded corners stitched rectangular die from Gina Maria . I tell you what you need to check out her dies cause I have been using quite a few of them and they are brilliant, they cut perfectly every time and the fact that you can get a set of stitched shapes - oval, rectangle, circle etc for $10 a set is a pure bargain. I am amazed sometimes at the price that is bunged onto dies. It is truly worth shopping around, I know you cant when you want a die to match a stamp but for things like this and quite a bit more the price is a bargain. (I didn't get paid to say this and I get no commission from this blurb, its just my opinion on a product I use)..

So my two layers were then attached to the card and a beautiful 'welcome' sentiment die from Papersmooches. Its so cute. Finished off with a mix of coloured dots.

It's your Birthday so its Party Time

A pretty little eater colour card. I thought it would be nice to do a flower card as they are my favourite and I needed something I could put together easily as I am at mum and dads for a few days and minimal supplies.

I stamped and white embossed this beautiful flower from Inspired by Stamping - love this magnolia stamp. Actually I love all the flower stamps I have from there. They stamp beautifully and are so easy to watercolour or colour with copics or pencils.
This beautiful colour is achieved by using Zigs yellow and dark yellow. A wash of the pale yellow then adding just the smallest amount of the darker yellow where I wanted to create depth then adding more water to wash it out. Finished off with Wink of Stella.

Added the die cut sentiment 'Party Time' on the out side and 'It's your birthday'
on the inside. Finished off with a mix of sequins in lemons and gold.

A challenge or two:

This one is without the topping.

One of a Kind & Thanks

Ive been playing with dies galore with all the challenges around at the moment that want you to use dies. Great way to finally see what I have, I need to make up a folder I think with a copy of each die cut so I can look and see whats what. Too many dies thats what, amazing to look back a few years and no stamp sets had dies now its never ending. But don't let me get on that soap box.

Here I have used a stitched Frame die from Papersmooches (new) and cut out one layer with the dots on it and one out of the gold mirror cardstock. So the dotty frame will keep for another time, I wanted to use the gold for this wonderful painting!!!

The framed image is actually coloured paper sticker dots that Bought cause they looked so cool then never used. Now I am using them up, one less dust gatherer. I even added a wee little gold sticker butterfly. Finished off with the sentiment 'One of a Kind'.

This next card I have used a Wonky Stitches die (new) and die cut

a piece of watercolour paper that I added Brushos too. It looks better IRL. Here the piece is looking very smooth but it does have texture to the paper. I have added to white die cut dots on stems. I cant think of the name sorry, its a beautiful die from Memory Box and I bought it long ago and cut lots of different colours then found every time I went to use it I didn't like it.

Here I love it, it works perfectly with this coloured panel and that slight cross over of the stems. Finished off with a 'thanks' die from Penny Black. Lots of dies, no stamping but plenty of mess from the Brushos.

Challenges:

'One of a Kind' card is perfect for

All spots and Butterfly are peel offs.

The frame is stitch design

With card would work for this but I can only link one so
will link my 'One of a Kind' painting with its die cut frame.

Thanks Card

Challenges:

Three Dies used in the making of this card.

The Wonky die is a stitched die on the Thanks card.

Thanks card: Used a snippet of watercolour paper to add the
Brusho colours to then cut the snippet with a wonky die.

Ok thats it for today, another nearly no stamping post.
Thank you so much for coming to visit and I hope you come again soon.
