Love you, just so you know.

I cant get enough of this wonderful stamp. This time I have stamped then masked off the top flowers and then stamped again to add to the flower stem. Where the flowers meet I added in a leaf or two and some petals to make it look like one stem.

Then when I die cut I just used the die to cut out the original then lined up for the next cut and added the pieces needed like a jigsaw.

If you enlarge the image you can see the cut line but it worked out fine. Then I did it again cutting out a vellum layer, using the cut pieces to help me work out where the vellum should be cut. This had to be rather inventive with a few joins as these were left over pieces. It worked perfectly.

The flowers were coloured with copics and the vellum was meant to be purple but it turned out to be more deep pink but still works okay. The 'love you' die from Technique Tuesday that I never seem to be able to get enough of cut in gold mirror card stock. All finished off with purple enamel dots.

A card for mum and dad just to remind them I love them. Mum cant read anymore but dad can.  They need daily reminders that they are loved and never a burden.

A different challenge each month but always with flowers.

Happy Birthday Sweet Friend

I used this stamp a few days ago and coloured with my coloursoft pencils. I have done the same here using my derwents  'Coloursoft' pencils and baby oil. Just used the one orange and added layers and blended with a paper stub.

A wee bit of Wink of Stella for some sparkle on the flower petals. Flowers are a single stamp from Hero Art. I'm not sure you can purchase it anymore. Another of my favourites that is great for so many occasions.

I cut the panel slightly thinner than the card front and added a strip of washi tape each side. This time white with a gold pattern. Looks brilliant and finishes the card off perfectly with out having to cut and stick thin panels.

Hello, Stamplorations Flower Panel

This is one of the easiest cards I have made. The most effort

was embossing the stamped image rather than just stamp. Of course

I never do things by halves so I embossed in white, silver and gold

and then stamp in black on watercolour paper and Copic friendly

paper so plenty more to come.

Here I cut the panel the same size as the front of the card. Stamped and

white embossed the flower panel from Stamplorations . I then coloured with

zigs, one dark pink pulling the colour out with a very light pink. No water. 

A little bit of yellow/brown in the centres.

 

I've gone blank on the brand for the 'hello' die (I am in the process of putting

a copy of them all into a folder with the brand name but got sidetracked onto

another project sorry. I decided to add some colour to the die cut as I have seen done

a few times with watercolour and coloured embossing. I added my colour

with Copics just picking a pale pink and darker pink and blending to white.

A few enamel dots to finish it off. I attached the vellum by just adding some double sided

dots of tape where the flower centres are so it doesn't show through.

I love how it turned out and cant wait to try some other colours. the Zigs work so

well on the front of the panel- as long as minimal water is used so the vellum doesn't warp.

A little card just to let someone know they are loved so very much.

Stamping Bella stamp, so very cute.  Coloured with Copics.

wonky stitch die cut around the image then went two sizes bigger for the next

layer using a piece of Lawn Fawn plaid paper.  Love this paper, looks so cool

with the pigs and flowers.

Layered it up on a white card base, then decided to use the 'Love you'

die cut that its the word and the background outline for the words from  Technique 

Tuesday. A few enamel dots and all finished.

My pigs are looking a wee bit sunburned here  (maybe they forgot to use their sunscreen!!)

The Flower Challenge #2 Theme 'Occassion'

I'm away on holiday with my children and my parents. 

A special holiday before mum and dad move again.

I needed to prepare a card for the Challenge and did a wonderful watercolour,

went to post it last night and realised it said 'Hello' not very special occasion.

So I have fallen back on a set of cards that I made using the lily layers

stamp from Altenew. I still haven't posted about them so felt I could use one of

the cards thats a 'Congratulations' one.

I am busy learning to use layer stamps and am still struggling a bit 

getting the layers lined up properly but I was happy with the end result.

I have been having fun trying all the colour mixes and will share

the others later. I have used a card stock I found that has a wonderful

weave look and used this for the stamped layer and the card base

itself. I have cut a pink layer to go behind to highlight the stamped

layer and finished off with a gold mirror cardstock die cut.

The funny bit was I made two sets of cards, 14 in all before I realised I had

stamped the flower centres in the same colour rather than yellow or brown.

Ahh well I cant be perfect all the time lol.

Now its time to go and check out what the rest of the DT's have made.

Smile with Mo's little fairies and window box

I coloured the little fairies with copics then cut then out. I added a bit of

sparkle with Wink of Stella on the wings, skirts and flowers.

I then coloured the window frame frame and flower box and flowers. This is

also a Mo's Digital Pencil image. After I finished to window

I have added the fairies with dimensional foam tape to lift them a bit.

Im hoping that you see the window the same as me and that there is a bit

of depth around the window.

I think it looks so cute and as though they are about to pop in

on a friend and let them know they are there to bring a smile to their day.

Thinking of You

There are some stamps that are just classics and I never tire of using them. The biggest problem these days is that there are so many amazing flower stamps there is that constant problem of trying to remember all of them and getting time to use them all.

This beautiful stamp always colours up beautifully. I have stamped on cardstock then coloured with my Derwent 'Coloursoft' pencils. They are much easier to use for me than many other pencil sets that are to be blended with Baby Oil. They don't hurt my hands as much as the colour going on easily.

I have used one red/pink colour and just blended it out then added the fuchsia colour over the top. It blends so beautifully with the baby oil and doesn't leave any oily residue. always amazes me.

finished off with my usual bit of Wink of Stella on the blooms. Cut out the panel a bit smaller than the card front then added washi tape each side. Love that washi tape, so easy to add, no waste and fantastic metallic glittery look. Put the sentiment inside as I felt it looked best without the sentiment on the front.

All I want for Christmas is....everything!!

Ahhh Mo's digital Pencil keeps coming out with the most amazing images, overtime I look I see another I just have to have. Take this little cutie for example. He/she is so so cute.

I have coloured with copics, then I decided to add to the little jumpsuit so I stamped with silver ink and my smallest snowflake stamp all over the jumpsuit to make it a Christmas jumpsuit. For the hat I have used a clear glitter filled stickles which makes the hat look brilliant.

Look at that face.... I then used a sentiment from a MFT stamp set

which I felt went perfect with the image.

I have used a scalloped die frame to cut white glitter paper. Its actually more like a material and it was impossible to cut before but since getting a metal shim, it cut perfectly. The down side was it was harder to attach to the card from and ended up tearing in one corner, hence the big glitter gem.
