A Birthday and a Celebration card.

This first card I have combined a Hero Art 'Happy Birthday' grid stamp with
a Penny Black Floating by puppy from a set called  'buddy and duck' with
lots of ohh so cute stamps to pick from.

I coloured the grid with Zig watercolours straight onto the stamp, blending each
colour together. No water.
I copic coloured Buddy and the balloon. I stamped the balloon string
straight onto the card and then attached Buddy and the balloon. Finished off
by adding Glossy Accents to the balloon.

Added the sentiment grid as though Buddy was flying out from behind it.
The balloon warped a bit but looks ok.

This card is a one layer with a digital image and its just stunning. This one I cant remember
where I got it, the artist is 'jenlee'16' but I cant find the link. If anyone knows the artist
please let me know so I can give credit and a link for others.

I have coloured with Copics R81 R83 R85 and added the yellow with a gel
pen then sparkle with lots of Wink of Stella that shows up in this photo.

Finished off with a die cut 'Celebrate' from Papertrey. Love it, so simple
yet so pretty.

Thank you all for coming to visit and I hope you will come and visit again soon.

Three cards a little bit of Copic colouring and a bit of Watercolour

This was a quick card, perfect for a little girls birthday.
The image is a digital one from All Dressed Up and she is free
but remember thats for your personal use and not for resale.

After colouring with Copics I added a bit of pink glitter with a glitter
gel pen. She is such a sweetie, ohh and there are other images too. And she
sells lots more, so cute images.

I have done one of my favourite things at the moment, adding gold foil
washi tape down each side of the card and pink fun foam to lift the
image panel slightly. Did a bit of light blending with distress ink on the bottom
half of the sentiment. Added a gem for the dot on the 'i' and a few more
for a bit of sparkle and all ready to go.

This beautiful stamped image was a gift from my wonderful friend
TaeEun who sent me an amazing birthday card (that I can't share just yet) and
some stamped and embossed images.

It's so beautiful I of course had to order one for myself. TaeEun has silver embossed
I have watercoloured with my Zigs and love the colour I have achieved with this beautiful flower.
So easy to watercolour. The stamp is from The Ton and called Dearest Peony .

Those silver embossed leaves behind the flower are all part of the stamped
image. I was going to add some splatter and Wink of Stella but then decided to leave as
it is and use as a Sympathy card as I really don't have many of them. I had
cut the panel a bit crooked so needed to cut it down more. I didn't want to have a narrow
card so added silver dot washi to each side so I didn't have to cut the card base
too thin. Done and love it.

So this is another stamp from the Ton and its called 'Dahlia Close Up'
cling background stamp. Its amazing. Ohhh my goodness I have white embossed,
gold embossed, silver embossed on copic cardstock, watercolour paper, multimedia
paper and vellum - thats why I get behind in using my stamps. Just stamping and embossing
builds mountains in my house.

Here is it stamped and silver embossed on multimedia paper then watercoloured
with Zigs and brush and lots of water, just kept adding more colour and water until I
liked what I saw.

Its soft and pretty, I love it. I finished it off by cutting the sentiment out of the centre,
then again from white fun-foam and finally did what Therese is always recommending and left
the foam die cut in the original layer of foam, added dots of glue to the letters and added the painted version of the diecut. Perfect way to line it up and have the layers straight (the foam stretches out of
shape and can be hard to glue to another layer. This takes 'the hard' right out. Thank you Therese.

Added the die cut layer back into the card front, then added a bit of sparkle with 'Wink of
Stella' then also added some Glossy Accents. I think it stands out better IRL than here.

There you go, three cards after a bit of absence so hopefully I am back into the flow.

Challenges:

I was going to say the Sympathy card but I did all three
for that so will go with 'You Can Do Anything'
which is a flower and its watercoloured.

Huge celebrations are on at AAA Cards with their 3rd
Birthday. There are prizes and a blog hop and lots more.
I am going to enter 'Best Wishes' and hope its CAS enough.

I have gone without the Topping as even though
she is a sweetie I don't think thats what they mean by
sweet. Best Wishes Ballerina.

Thank you so much for coming to have a look and I hope you come again soon.

Guest Spot at Inkspirational

My card was one of those picked at Inkspirational for the word prompt
'Connect' and later they asked if I would like to participate in this weeks
challenge.

It's always so very exciting when you get an email from a Challenge Blog and you are asked to participate in a future challenge as a Guest Designer. I get so excited and cant wait to tell my husband and my kids and then they look at me like 'ohhh thats nice'. They just don't get it. Then of course reality sets in. I have to do a particular card, not just any card......and then its time to decide what do.

This was a card that took a lot of thinking from me. I looked it up and decided to go with the first definition.

urban
ˈəːb(ə)n/
adjective
  1. 1
in, relating to, or characteristic of a town or city.
    "the urban population"
    synonyms:built-uptowncity, inner-city, densely populated, townified, citifiedmetropolitansuburbannon-ruralMore
  2. 2
denoting or relating to popular dance music of black origin.
    "hip-hop's traditionally urban vibe"

The stamp I have used here is a Penny Black, one of three in the set which has the four houses you see at the front bottom row. After stamping that image, I used masks to add more, moving them around for a bit of variety. I stamped in waterproof ink.

I have very loosely painted using zigs watered down considerably and a brush to add the colours.

I love the sentiment I decided to use and stamped then die cut with stitched tag die. I spent more time trying to work out where to place the sentiment than painting it, I think. Anyway it went with my idea of urban, lots of houses and a sort of 'where'sWally' idea as in 'wherever you are!!'

I hope this gives you an idea or two and you participate in the challenge over at Inspirational. Don't forget to check out what the Design Team have made.

Thank you so much for coming to visit and I hope you come again soon.

The Party is Here

I have combined a few stamp companies here. Friends from Purple Onion Designs were
busy partying with friends from Penny Black and decided they needed a house to party in.

I used some pattern paper that looks like wood slates and a die from Pretty Pink Posh which gave me
my windows. I also cut a layer of fun foam to give a bit of depth. All my friends are coloured with Copics, glitter from Wink of Stella added to the balloons.

Tucked and glued everyone in place and finished off by stamping the sentiment on more pattern paper that looks like an old piece of board and glued it in place.  Its very busy but totally loved by the little man it was made for.

Challenges:

lots of copic colouring, my favourite colouring.

Didn't make a container, made a house
so will go without the twist.

I do believe my party here card works
perfectly for Home Sweet Home

Not often I get to go with the topping but this one
is certainly in.

Thank you so much for coming to visit and I hope you come again soon.

The Flower Challenge #8 Reminder Wishing you all kinds of happy

It's that time again when we remind you to go and have a look at
The Flower Challenge and see what everyones been doing.

I missed the first post as I was too sick to make a card. Not too sick to colour, I have coloured
so much I don't know which to use first.

I decided to use the same stamp as I used last time, a new one from The Ton
this time coloured with pinks and greens and stamped in black. Copics again.

This time when I had finished I decided to add a pattern paper layer underneath
so I fussy cut around the bottom part of this wonderful cluster of flowers.

The paper looks red here but it is a deep pink and has words that are all to do
with 'happy' so I thought it was perfect.

Of course I needed to add a few enamel dots, those smudges just appear
out of no where. Actually I think it was a bit of soup drop smudge
as I was multi, multi tasking.
So because I wasn't here before this is my first and only card but if anyone
feels the urge please do CAS(E) me.

Nows its time to jump over to the Flower Challenge and see what the
other designers have been up to and see if there is something that stirs
your mojo.

Thanks so much for coming to visit and I hope you come again soon.

Mothers Day Post

I decided to do a Mothers Day card for my daughter-in-law as we
were all meeting for brunch this morning and its good for her to know
we appreciate and love her as much as her children do.
It's been a hard week at their place with the youngest Mason being out of
sorts all week, so lots of crying and clinging and bits of vomiting
and not much sleep all round.

I decided after colouring this Saturated Canary image with copics
to cut at an angle or is that angel with one of these wonderful border
dies, love the scallops and stitching and underneath I have added some
pattern paper thats all about family and love and the sentiment is
a new one from an Altenew flower set.

This next card here I have taken closer up and at an angle to try
and show the flower off properly. This is an old stamp
but still very popular for me. I love to white emboss on vellum
 then cut in layers.

Each layer is just glued down and is slightly smaller than the layer before it.
four layers finished off with a large gem to hide the glue bits and press the flower
down.

In this instance  I then cut the front layer smaller than the card base and added
silver spotted washi tape (ohh I so love using washi in this way) and a thin
dimensional tape so the panel sat just very slightly higher.
A few clear gems here and there and its finished and perfect for my mother-in-law.

Opps sorry if this comes as a double post. I forgot to add Challenges:

Happy Mothers Day
Has a flower and have had this stamp for many years.

Happy Mothers Day Flower stamped  card and fussy
cut from vellum.

Happy Mothers Day Flower with Washi
tape with dots all over.

Nothing Like a Mothers Love, celebrating
my daughter-in-law

okay now thats it, the photos and post below are not card related.

A couple of photos with my youngest grandkids (two of them) and poor little Elysha
who is sitting behind and hidden.

It was a very mild day so we were able to sit outside for Brunch and had
a lovely time with Dale Aaron and Elysha and my daughter-in-law, Mel.
They did take more photos so hopefully there will be one I can share later.

And of course I had to share a quick shot of my Mothers Day/ Birthday present, wahooooooo
Am I excited - not wrong. Cant wait to play with it, just off to visit with mum and dad and see
Jessie and Keegan then back tomorrow night, ohh then I babysit on Tuesday so I will have to wait
till Wednesday (which is my birthday anyway) to play with it. Maybe I could take to the Nursing home and pla........ no I know. I will wait.

Thanks so much for coming to visit and sharing a bit of my life. Hope you come again soon.
