One Tag and Three Cards for Christmas

My tag for this weeks Muse Card Challenge I think speaks for itself in inspiration.
I love love this colour combo and though not exactly the same close enough for me to feel like colouring everything in pink and yellow. I loved the little bell and gold string bow and the little ones Tracey has added to the front of her card.

I darkened this image so you can see the sparkle from the glitter paste.
After blending on my die cut tag I decided I wanted some glitter and what better than BoBunny Glitter paste in clear so the real colour shows through. I used a new stencil I just got from Hero Art today, hey, hey. Once the glitter dried I added the wee little bells in pink and gold and attached with some silver thread, tied in a bow.

I added the stamped  silver embossed sentiment on a vellum strip so it didnt cover the tag totally.
Cant remember what stamp set its from. I have added the two children from a new stamp set from MFT that I coloured up yesterday, lucky I chose the colours I did cause they work out perfectly.Just to add a bit of fun and because of the look on the little boys face I added a wee little elf from a Christmas stamp kit from Hero Art from last year. Kids are added with dimensional foam tape and I have a couple of hours to spare at Muse Card Challenge.

This little sweetie is a Mo's Digital Pencil image and I have coloured him/her up twice, once in orange and once in blue.

After I couloured my little cuties I decided to add some stamping and stamped mini snow flakes in gold and silver Hero Art Ink over the Copic colouring.

I thought the sentiment was perfect for these and its stamped. I have used different frame dies and card stocks for each card and added a die cut snowflake to the first.

I love the look on the face of this little sweetie.

This card I have blended Distress Inks on watercolour cardstock then changed my mind. I decided to stamp and white heat emboss the image.

This stamped image and sentiment are from Stamplorations and look absolutely amazing on the blended cardstock. They stamp so crisp, I love stamps like this and even the small sentiment has heat embossed perfectly.

There you go, one tag and three cards and we are rolling through the cards.

Challenge Me A Christmas Card 2018

I am so pleased to say 'I'm back again with Michelle' taking part in her 'Challenge Me a Christmas Card'. I love participating in this challenge and I hope you go to Michelle's blog to check out her card and hopefully you have time to look at her other 'Challenge Me a Christmas Card' posts to see all the amazing cards Michelle and other friends have been posting.

My favourite part of the challenge is that Michelle lets her guest decide what is to be done or used on the card. Of course as I so love colouring with my Zigs on Vellum aI suggested both using Zigs and Vellum.

For my Christmas card I have used 'Cosy Poinsettias' from The Ton silver embossed on vellum. I also silver embossed the sentiment that came with this set.
I then coloured using three colours - my darkest blue, lightest blue and
the middle colour in the purples.

Darkest blue for the top petals and in the shadows of the other petals, lightest blue from the bottom then I used my Nuvo Shimmer brush to move, mix or remove colour as I go. I then came in and placed random bits of the light purple and mixed that in with the Nuvo brush. Here I have made the image slightly darker so you can see the shimmer and sparkle of the image.

I then cut the vellum to fit the front of the card and used a strip of this amazing sparkly silver sticky backed glitter paper. This stuff is brilliant for cutting sentiments as well as it cuts perfectly and although sticky can be moved and placed around until you are happy with position then pressed down further for a firm hold.
I finished the card off with some clear gems that have a rainbow hue to them.

Now its time to go check out Michelle's blog and see how she went with my 'Challenge' to her.

The Flower Challenge #26 A Special Occassion Reminder Post

Okay its time to get your thinking caps on. The Challenge has reached the halfway point so if your going to join us its time to decide just what you want to do with all those amazing flower stamps I know you have. Don't forget Poinsettia's which are all the rage at Christmas time fall under the label of 'flower' and Christmas is certainly a special occasion.

I've gone with 'Happy Birthday' and used the colours for Autumn as I am just loving this colour combination. The flower is the middle section of a large flower stamp from Simon Says called Centre Cut Flowers Background. I love that here is a nice small bunch of flowers, already laid out in design.

I have used Copics to colour and love how it turned out and decided a small sentiment would work best with it. Happy birthday die cut. I didn't feel it needed any gems or other embellishments.

Now it's time to go to the Flower Challenge Blog and see what else the Design Team have been up to. I can tell you from my last sneak peak its truly worth going to see and then get those creative fingers of yours working :)

Thank you so much for coming to visit and I hope I see you again soon.

Three cards for Christmas

This card came together as one of those inspiration pieces as I was looking for something else. I have used the wide washi tape from Altenew, I love the idea of being able to do a night sky without all layers especially if an idea has just popped into your head.

I had this heart cut out of card base picked it up and thought the washi would look brilliant inside the heart. That was easy, then I looked for the perfect sentiment - I think thats Mama Elephant  and comes with some cute bears (yes I know that I have not used yet). The sentiment is perfect with the heart and galaxy and a die cut sparkle star finishes it off.

This card I was inspired to make after seeing the Muse card for this week.
Love Anita's card but I am working on Christmas so I went that way.
I took inspiration from the embossed background and the green used on the balloon and working in the bottom half of the card with image and sentiment.

I used a snow embossing folder for the background.  I decided to use the penguin (rather than a heart) sitting on a present as I had just coloured him and I thought he looked cute.
I have added Nuvo glitter to the present dots and ribbon but it hasn't shown up in the photos sadly. Actually it has just covered the shading done in the ribbon and dots lol. Instead of a balloon I decided to add a free floating sentiment cut from a green/blue sparkle paper as I liked the colours Anita used.

This last card I have used a Mo's Digital Pencil image coloured with Copics and some Kindy Glitz to add some dimension to the hat.

Die cut sentiment from Stamplorations cut from silver sparkle paper.

Joyeux Noel & Happy 1st Birthday

One of Elysha's friends from community access program asked if I could make a card for her niece's 1st Birthday. This is what she wanted.
Mo's Digital Pencil image is perfect for the first birthday cake smash
that appears to be all the trend.

Coloured with Copics and used a cple of the Nuvo glitter pens at the bottom of the cake.
A die cut sentiment 'Happy Birthday' at the top from gold glitter paper (well a bit thicker than paper actually)

The pink glitter number '1' needed to sit where it is due to a little mess made by me and I didn't want to cut the card down any more. Some glitter gems requested as well so I added a couple of little flowers and a gem 'teddy bear'

She was very happy so thats what matters.

Loose watercolour background using Distress Inks I love the soft colours and there is also so shimmer water used on this but the photo doesn't show it.

The giant snowflake and sentiment are both from CAS-ual Friday stamps, I found the sentiment there but not the snowflake and all my searches on google led me nowhere so I have to assume it is retired.

Well I love it and in silver heat embossing on this pale blue/mauve watercoloured background it looks wonderful. As it does on the other half dozen cards I made. I used a frame it die but then left it set into the diecut as I just wanted to trim and leave a nice outline.

There you go, a couple of cards, both perfect for the colouring challenge

I can only link one through the blog so will link
the 'Happy Birthday' and
the other through instagram. Catching up.
