Christmas Cards by Four

This first card I have used one of my favourite Christmas tree stamps, this time gold embossed on black. I made a few of these last year and this year, I just love the look. Sadly I am nearing the end of the gems I used here and for the life of me I cant remember where I got them. They just work perfectly with this tag.

Anyway the smaller black tag is on a larger version of the same tag in white and that
wonderful die cut 'joy' finishes it off perfectly. The stamped sentiment was cut down from the same sentiment, just removed the 'Joy' stamped word.
Added to a white card base and joined the two tags together with a piece of gold ribbon.

Here I have another Christmas card not following traditional colours. I am really
loving all the beautiful soft colours being used out there in blog land. The beautiful soft pinks
and pale lilacs etc just cry out to me.

This little Cutie is Santa's helper and most of you will recognise him as a Mo's Digital
Pencil image and he looks super trendy in his mint and purple
outfit. Finished him off with Kindy Glitz. I actually coloured him during Kathy's 30
Day Colouring Challenge.

I die cut a rectangle from the purple card stock and added the image from inside. I played
around with lots of ideas for the outside of the card but decided I liked (love) the layered
'Joyeux Noel' from Stamplorations which is cut from a pale lilac mirror cardstock and
felt that was enough.

This third card belongs to a set of cards I made using this present die cutout. This wonderful little set was sent to be by Barb from Barb's Studio Creations (if you haven't been to Barb's blog go check it out, so much wonderful inspiration), last year cut out in a number of different colours of mirror cardstock and held in place by that wonder item (Press n Seal).

I had mentioned loving the look of the die and she kindly sent me some to play with. It was too late for Christmas last year but great for this year.

I swapped outlines with the negatives so I got a bit of variety.

In this instance it was cut from Neenah cardstock so I decided to
colour with my copics starting dark and getting paler at the top. I even decided to add
glue to the outline and add some gold glitter (not so great as I found it very hard to get it to stay on
as you can see in the photo here but looks ok IRL.

Now I know that your not use to me doing splatters on my cards, being something I worry
will just overwhelm my card. Well I ended up deciding it just had to be done. Why???
Well I ended up with little flicks and splats and streaks of glue peeking out everywhere
on these cards. For each piece I glued down I managed to touch a spot and leave a mark.

Not that obvious but too obvious to me. So I got out my golds and a silver in my  Silks paints,
added lots of water and picked up with my small brush and just flicked. I was very pleased
and surprised with the end result.

Thank you so much Barb for the die cuts they went off with my cards for the Caring Hearts
Card Drive and I totally enjoyed using them.

Lets see if I can find a Challenge or two for these cards.

I'm going to add two cards here to the challenge : The black and white and gold
'Joy to the World' and Santa's helper Joyeux Noel purple card.
(I finally know how to add two cards to the same challenge without having to do additional posts).

My presents card 'Joy' red ombre colour and My Joy to the World
Black and White  and gold card.

Purple card with the elf and Joyeux Noel,
I think I would have to say my favourite die
cut this year.

Thank you so much for coming to have a look and I hope you come again soon.

More fab Chrissy cards! Great job with your splatters - I use that technique often when a card needs 'something' :)
