Using an Old Stamp to Make a couple of Cards

We have reached the half way point in
 'The Flower Challenge'
so its time to post a reminder and to share another card with
another style for additional ideas.
December : Use an Older Stamp/Die/Stencil

I have been so busy moving mum and dad into their new home that
I missed the first post all together so I have done two cards today.

I have done both using the same stamp, this stamp is a Hero Art stamp, red rubber mounted and its a small background stamp called 'Wallpaper flowers'.

I love the look and must admit when I bought it, it was my first lesson in what you see is not necessarily a large background stamp just because of the design of the card.
When it arrived I realised I need to take note of measurements lol.

What I have done here is stamp it twice, guesstimating  the second stamping and it was very close, to the point I really only needed the vellum over the join because the pattern itself didnt have a match up.
I have coloured this and the blue panel with Derwent Coloursoft Pencils and Baby oil.

I then layered each panel with a piece of coloured fun foam cut to the same size and before attaching to the card base added the patterned vellum for the sentiment to attached to.

Its just a faint geometrical pattern on the vellum and suits the card design.
Two different sentiments used and I stamped Friend with the Hello sentiment. Stamped with
Stazon so it would not rub or smear. Sequins on the yellow layer and clear gems for the purple layer.

with both cards I have added a layer of glitter white card stock to the cardbase first before adding the coloured panel.

Thank you so much for coming to have a look and if you go here
you can see what the others in the Design Team have made. Also there
is a link there to The Flower Challenge if you would like to join us
with your own card.
Here is our banner  to use for this challenge.

Please Remember we are closing early this month due to Christmas.

We would love it if you care to display our Flower Challenge banner
on your blogs too

Two such very pretty cards here Aileen! I love that the flowers are small and cover the whole card. You have used beautiful colours for them both.I really can't decide which I like best, the sunny yellow or the violet blue one;)hugs Viv xx

LOVE, LOVE seeing old stamps in use. I can never bear to part with my oldies! These are both gorgeous--perfectly colored, and your vellum/sentiment/die cut idea is a fantastic way to cover up whatever you don't want us to see!

I love the blue colors of flowers and composition of the card. Cool is the middle floral panel.

I love the coloring on your stamp Aileen. I had to learn that lesson about checking sizes too. You've remedied it by using the vellum and it looks great that way.
