Another two card post with a couple of Challenges in mind.
This probably one of my very few CAS cards, I struggled to
decide I like it when it was finished.
Coloured with Copics, a bit of grey shadow to ground my
phone.. First time using another stamp set, I am trying to use them
all and then thinking I need to use each part of the stamp set,
Even if it means doing sets of cards so I start getting value for money
spent. I keep looking and seeing stamps I just had to have and they are
sitting ever so patiently waiting for me to get my act together.
At lest I have stopped buying flowers (be lucky to have 2 cards with flowers
on them - off to the Destash Facebook page they need to go, along with
all that ribbon I just had to have and half my washi that realistically I will
never use).
Anyway back to the card, stamp and sentiment from Taylored Expressions.
I also have the dies (mmm where did I put them??) and it looks like the
stamps are no longer available. Coloured with Copics and added a few
sequins to cover little marks.
This is a card that started as an idea and then it went in a totally
different direction. I wanted to add to the Scrapbook Boutique Challenge
and may just scrap it in.
This little scene is a collection of digital images put together by Tiddly Inks
that you can use as a scene or individually. The mood board
from Scrapbook Boutique is
this fabulous collection as we are well into Summer.
Love these colours. So I coloured my picture
with the thought of beautiful blues and greens of the sea
and sky and yellows of the beach.
Had to add some friends calling us to join in all the fun therefore
some bright happy crabs calling out. You can see them all through the
hole in the fence
The fence paper is from a paper pad. I Die cut it and the image with the same
double stitched die so the image could sit inside the fence circle.
Mistake here as I should have joined the two together first before adding to the card front.
I added the fence pattern paper first and ended up with a buckle in the fence that I couldn't fix
as the rest had stuck fast then when I added the image die cut I found that a small flat edge had
happened so there was a gap.
All my eye could see was the gap, too much fiddling around made it more obvious.
Moral of the story, just leave well enough alone, its not a masterpiece and unless you want
to start from scratch accept it looks good enough.
Finished off with a few sequins and the sentiment 'The Party is Here'.
The sandy area and waterline done in that Watercolour Copic technique.
Thank you so much for coming to have a look and I hope you visit again soon.
