Another Busy Day and Another Last Minute Card

Another day has past and I spent most of it colouring. I coloured in a pile of wonderful images
for Valentines Day cards. then after dinner I went to make some valentine cards and found
my mind wondering to other things.

Here you see a card inspired by The Muse Card Challenge 202
Don't you just love this card by Anita, so bright and colourful
and my favourite, inset die cuts.

I was going to stamp but I was looking for pattern paper for something else and saw this
piece and it was perfect for my inspiration from Anita's card.

Rectangle die cut crooked stitches ( Stamplorations), inset 'hello'
die and some sequins added to this wonderful tropical paper.
Stitched Die, hello die inset and loose flow flowers.
And still a couple of hours to go.

This was my first card I made tonight and after I die cut I realised
I put the heart on the wrong side on the paper so the gold was the back
of the die cut.Was going to toss it aside but I had no more of this gold paper.

So I just cut three more white hearts and glued them all together. I think it still looks
okay, kind of unique.

I attached the love die cut from  the scraps of the same paper
then stamped the sentiment underneath.
Do you find yourself looking through all your sentiments every time you do a card,
I do. I never seem to remember what I was going to use or just cant find the one
that is just right. Anyway Im happy with this card.

My third came into being again with ideas just coming and then having to
improvise. I had stamped and white embossed this wonderful little background stamp.
Problem is its only a small background stamp so a bit limiting. I did some
watercolouring, just adding Distress Inks in Pink, Orange and Yellow, water. blotting

till I was happy. Anyway I cut out the heart design then realised the heart
outline was the main bit and of course there wasn't enough left for a card
front so I improvised.

I cut a piece of this Papertrey Inks card front with the same
die then inset the heart and realised I should have kept all those
little bits that fit in the heart outline as the white of the card base shone
through. So I blended soft pinks, yellows and oranges on the base of the
card so thats what shows through.
Finished off with a layered die cut 'you' and stamped the sentiment
only to realise as I took photos it was the same sentiment.

There we go, all done......and my coloured images are still sitting there on the
craft table waiting for inspiration.

Thanks so much for coming to visit and I hope you come again soon.

You know, Aileen, you make some pretty awesome cards, to call them last minute.. really.. please stop calling them that, they are hurting me! ;) Ok, seriously, fabulous cards, Aileen! I think the die cut - the gold one - really looks great! And this time, amazingly, I can't seem to pick a favorite!

I think you've given us the perfect example of where to use all of the patterned paper we have frittering away - gorgeous, too! This middle gold heart gets the gold star of the day, Aileen! Unique, yes, and a truly stunning LOVE, and design! All three winners ... where in the world do you find all of these challenges??!!

It is already late in the evening and in my mind ideas are born and what do I do now ??? I have to get up in the morning to work and I feel this cool anxiety that I know how to look my new card and I want to go do it now ...
