If you fall I will be There (the floor)

I love that sentiment, it cracks me up. I have a great love of snarky/ grumpy/ sarcastic
sentiments and I also have a huge collection that must be used.

Of course these cards become limited in use in that not everyone appreciates this type of humour and recipients need to be chosen with care.  But aside from collecting these types of sentiments I have also now collected some classic images to colour to go with them and I have also collected quite a few friends who also like this type of humour so I will share with them to pass onto others.

So easy to colour and so cute to look at.

The card I have made is in the slimline style, the white cardstock layered onto the orange/yellow pattern paper. I have stamped the images and these are from AALL & Create and they have quite a few of these wonderful images. Loved colouring these with copics.

Hopefully I will be posting regularly again and will get to share the cute, the floral and the snarky with you all. Thanks so much for dropping in and hopefully you will come again soon.

Have a Magical Day

Time to build up the birthday cards supply again, totally depleted. These of course are for the grandchildren to give to friends (they all seem to celebrate huge numbers of friends birthdays) and I struggle to keep up.
This one was quick and easy to do. The unicorn is from 'Neat and Tangled'. I cant link as the shop is down having update done till 1st February. Probably my first and oldest unicorn stamp.

I did some plain watercolour in the rainbow colours but didn't worry about layers
as the paper I had stamped on was not handling the watercolours well.
The sentiment and the leaves are also from the same set.
I decided to lift the panel slightly and added white washi tape with
silver stars.

I have done some others that I liked a lot more and I will share those soon along with the multitude of other unicorn cards as it appears I have been a bit obsessed with purchasing both rubber and digital unicorns along with fairies and bunnies.

I was sorting all my purchases from the last year or two and apart from the doubling up of some I have also discovered I have an amazing collection of adorable stamps that I will now need to find the time to colour. I'm going to try a lighter style of colouring actually on these to get more used.

I think I became a bit obsessed with building up my 'children's birthday card supplies'. Especially backlogged as I find it so hard to resist colouring floral images.

Thanks again for coming to check my card out and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Transformation Butterfly

Watercoloured this wonderful stamped image from The Ton called Transformation.
I totally love this stamp, the proportions, the design the delicate image that stamps up
perfectly. I have not seen another as pretty as this. Previously I had stamped and embossed
on vellum and I love how those turned out. This time I decided to white emboss
on watercolour paper.

I am quite pleased with how it turned out and felt it only needed a delicate
die cut sentiment so this one works perfectly with it. And then I found some glitter
gems in the same silver glitter to finish it off.

A card that can be used for many different reasons with that sentiment.

Thank you so much for coming to check it out and I hope you
come visit again soon.

Miss You & Together Forever

Putting together some cards using images I have previously coloured.

I love this image from Mo's Digital Pencil, he is just such a sweetie
and he does look like he is looking for someone hence the 'Miss you'.

Coloured with Copics which I cant use at the moment as I injured my hand.
I cant colour but I can now put things together as long as I don't try to use
the injured finger.

I die cut a frame for him from some tropical paper and added fun foam to the inside part of
the frame. Added the die cut 'Miss you' and all done.

Here I have coloured the flowers from 'The Ton' with Copics and I coloured the bottom flower
twice and added another layer slightly darker. Fussy cut then added dimensional
tape to lift slightly.

I used a couple of 'Tim Holtz' partial dies to add interest
to the front of the card. I love how it turned out.

A few silver gems to go with the silver mirror cardstock
'together' die cut. I think this will make a nice wedding card.

Thank you so much for coming to check out my cards and I hope you come again.

The Flower Challenge Reminder #52 Heat/Dry Embossing

Time for a reminder card for The Flower Challenge #52

This time I have used this beautiful 3D embossing folder Sizzix Tim Holtz
Isn't this image a stunner.

Really easy to emboss and coloured with Copics. Blending and depth made so easy
with this style of embossing.

It wasn't till I was writing my last post on 3D folders that I remembered that I actually had
some from years ago I think from Stamping Up. Barely used and when I went searching I remembered I decided to give away most of my folders because I don't use them, therefore proving we should never have destashs or giveaways and we should just hoard everything.

I love how this card turned out and the ease of colouring. Now it's time to go check out what the rest of the Design Team have been up to and get some inspiration.

Thank you so much for coming to visit and I hope to see you again soon.

New Floral Stamp by Alex Syberia

Yep I'm back and its another floral card. Christmas cards need to also start getting done but thinking florals have been missed so here we go with another.

I love Alex Syberia's images and have always purchased the digital images even though others were selling her images. Now there is a company, new, 'Marker Forte' that they are carrying her first stamps and stencils that she has produced herself at this time. I bought a couple of sets to try.

Sketched Peony

I stamped, masked and added layers. I coloured with very pale R000 range but got a bit
heavy handed with the main flower. More practice needed on that word light I think.
Leaves in E40,41,42,43

I then coloured the out line and all over the background with C1 C0 and finished off with some clear gems. Left the sentiment off then it can be used for anything.

LOOOOVED colouring these flowers. Beautiful design Alex, top marks.

Thank you for coming to visit and I hope to see you again soon.

The Flower Challenge #52 Embossing Dry/Heat

I'm back again. Life keeps throwing curve balls at us so we battle on then
we get back up and go again. Lucky for me I have the most amazing Co-ordinator for
The Flower Challenge Blog. Viv jumps in every time and keeps everything running
smoothly and I have been able to step back as in the last two years and I can't thank her enough.
Friend, Listener, Cheer Squad and all round amazing lady and I bless the day I asked
Viv if she would join the new challenge because I know without Viv there would be no Blog.

Then I have an amazing Design Team quite a few of whom have been with me since I thought
of the idea and then those who have joined us, as team members have had to move on.

As 2021 starts I say a prayer for all and hold hope that the world will beat this terrible virus and help
us all to heal and get back into a full life. Until then please all be safe and careful not only for yourself but those around you.

Now its time for the Challenge

Yes a new challenge and I decided to try out one of those 3D embossing folders
to emboss my Copic cardstock and see how it went. This is the result of the first card.

I purchased this folder on line, sorry cant remember where I got it but
all the information is available if you want just look it up on Google.

I did find I had to adjust what I used to press the image into the card stock and if
memory is right I took away the top plate but added my rubber mat. As I cant be sure
just experiment but too firm a pass and it will cut into the cardstock i nstead of just
impressing.

Then it was just a matter of finding the colours I wanted to use most time only going with two in a colour range as the impressing gave the depth. I then just cut around the image to remove the outer flat edge, added to a mauve card base.

A few little enamel dots in bright pink and the 'Sweet Wishes' die cut sentiment. A great way to colour
and play with your copics especially for a beginner who is not sure of how much colour or where it should be darker.
I really enjoyed using this and have bought some more both floral and Christmas to play with adding colour to the folder before embossing and watercolour cardstock..

Now its time to go check out what the rest of the team have been up to, check out their amazing inspiration then consider joining us. Don't forget embossing also includes heat embossing so adding something that is heat embossed also fits the bill.

Thank you so much for coming to visit and here's to a better year in 2021 and may 2020 just become a sshadow of a reminder of what was.
