I can't believe its September, it has been the longest, slowest, eight weeks (or more cant remember anymore) in lockdown and we still have ages to go before it ends. I have certainly coloured my heart out, thank goodness there was a Colouring Challenge for the last month and this means I have managed to make quite a few Christmas cards.
Today I took Elysha down to get her first injection and of course I misjudged location and parked miles away so we got our exercise done at the same time. As we were waiting after the injection (mandatory 20 minutes incase of reaction) well the next row across and next to me...... one minute the young man is looking at his phone then he drops the phone and slowly leans back till, bang he hits the ground in a faint. Fantastic response from nurses etc, and I am looking to see Elysha is ok and understands what is going on and there's this sheila filming away.......I mean theres signs everywhere 'no photos no videos' so I go into protective mother mode. You right there??? You filming this??? ohhh sorry and she turns off. I mean don't jump in to help but do catch it on your phone. Ignorance
Ohh sorry for the rant, bit unprofessional there, but hey its lockdown and who else can I share it with, my postman throws the mail up the driveway these days, he's so worried I will snare him for another chat on life.............Nah just joking.
Anyhoooo this is my card for this month. I do love the colour choice for today. I love blue flowers but I also looooove turquoise. This wonderful flower is drawn by Emily and she is at
Emily has many of her illustrations used by different stamp companies but she also does one off releases where she draws some flowers like this one here with the partial frame and you can purchase printed versions for Copic and/or Watercolour colouring. You cant reorder or purchase later they are one off's. Follow her and be aware when the next come out.
Back on track here (boy I am all over the place today) I have Copic coloured and felt the image filled enough of the background to leave it plain and just add a die cut 'Hello' which comes in the thin hello word and background die as well. This I cut in vellum.
The colours I used for this card are BG10 BG11 BG13 BG49
I hope you enjoyed your little drop in, now its time to go check out the amazing cards from the Design Team at The Flower Blog Challenge and also the stunning creation from Kailash who has an account on Instagram. Kailash was our winner in May and has many beautiful cards for you to look at.
Thanks for coming to visit and hopefully you will come again.
Crafty hugs

Spectacular card! Your colouring is perfect!
Gorgeous colouring and card Aileen! I hear you on your rant, I don't get this obsession with living through phones either... when the 'real' world is right there. Sending you some lock down hugs x
AH-MAZING card Aileen! Your flower is gorgeous. Love this beautiful and image and it is fantastic in turquoise. Love it with the sparkly gold hello. I'm so proud of you telling that girl off. This poor guy is in a vulnerable state and she wants to film it??!! Disgusting. Hopefully she won't do that again. xx
Aileen, you have a enviable gift of coloring large images perfectly, this one is no exception.
This is a gorgeous card, love the golden detail of the sentiment and the center of this amazing flower.
Stay healthy and safe, my dear.
