Reminder Post The Flower Challenge #66 Use Scraps

It's time for the reminder post using scraps. I was inspired by Vivien's card in the last post and decided to go with the same idea but I used triangles for my shapes.

For the first two cards I used pieces of scrap  from some papers I made using tissue paper, glue and embossing powder in gold. The scraps I had, made it possible with some manipulating, two floral die cuts for a couple of cards.

Card 1
In this card I have used the whole diecuts, frame and inserts as I love the look.
These dies are from Pinkfresh Studio . I have added them to a card base that is Ivory shimmer cardstock and I have added a stencilled background. Finished off with the 'Happy Birthday' die cut

Card 2

For this one I cut the outline from gold mirror cardstock and added the insets from scraps I was able to cut from the last of this purple paper. Added to the same cardbase as the last card and finished off with the Big Hugs die cut.

Card 3

The next card I have used the triangle die cuts to cut some pieces from paper scraps done the same way except this time with orange colours.

I added the triangles to a cardbase then to finish it off i used a flower die cut (sorry cant remember brand). This I layered up a couple of times in white then gold mirror cardstock.

I really need to do more of these, I love the look and truly it was so simple using up scraps and diecuts that I have in abundance.

Now its time to go check out  what the rest of the Design Team has been up to, get some inspiration and get busy making a card or two. Use those scraps.

The Flower Challenge #66 Use Scraps

Lots of ideas with this one but on limited time as I have gone away and needed to make these before I did. So my card for today.

Ok, I have played this one pretty safe, just used some scraps of alcohol ink pattern paper that I  had. Long thin strip that I then cut a half inch strip off to make the effect of a wider strip.

Was really lucky as I had coloured my flowers first and this background strip works very well with the floral colours.

This beautiful bouquet is from Waffle Flower Crafts and this is one of the times I bought the die with the flower stamp as they tend to keep their dies at a more reasonable price. That I like, especially as now companies are going stamp, die, stencil and hot foil. I do try to avoid dies if I think I can do on the Scan n Cut but since that too can become time consuming especially when stamping very intricate or light stamping for no line look. But if I see the die on special or it is a decent price I grab it.

Birthday die is Stamplorations and 'wishes' mmmm not sure but thought they worked together for that overlap sentiments look.

Anyway its time to go check out the beautiful cards on The Flower Challenge that the Design Team have made to inspire you.

Our Guest Designer this month is Juhi Khanna who has a blog and instagram. She is a previous winner of one of our challenges and has the most amazing cards to share.

Thank you all for coming to visit. Stay safe
