Here to remind you we have passed the half way point for this months challenge
so if your going to join us start working on those ideas.
Here's another look at the wonderful card Therese did.
If you would like to watch the video on how she made this stunning creation
or to check out her amazing blog the link is on The Flower Challenge page.
We have all done another card to help get the creative juices flowing
and also so you can see the different ways we all interpret Therese's
card.
For this card I used a die from Neat and Tangled 'Gardenia Blooms
Journaling Die'. I didnt worry about stamping I just wanted to use the
die for this.
I did cut the panel twice so it would just sit above the original
die cut negative when I put it back in place. I glued the
two layers together then went around the edge of the die cut
with a silver pen.
I used some scraps from a piece of glossy cardstock I had used
alcohol inks on. The inks were a mix of a couple of pinks
and lots of silver that was left on my craft mat from making backgrounds.
I re-activated the mix with blending solution and squished my glossy card
stock into the mess.
I love the colours I ended up with and felt they gave a wonderful effect
behind the die cut panel. I stamped 'congratulations' in silver ink. The
sentiment if from the Neat & Tangled stamp set that can pair with this die.
Finished off with a couple of really pretty clear gems that seem to reflect
colours around them very well.
Alright now you have seen my inspiration its time to go check out
and see what theres of the team has for you.
EDITED TO ADD Challenges:

Beautiful background and die-cuts!
Gorgeous inspiration and fabulous colours x
Catching up time...in reverse! The Gardenia Bloom is pretty, but with the background you've used, it's elevated to gorgeous! Soooo pretty, yet still CAS! Swooning? You bet! Oh...the stamp on my Serendipity card: just used the flower pops background stamp once, cut it out with the STAMPlorations panel, die cut a heart in the center, added the Love die cut. All in all...maybe 15 minutes. Super easy...
Hugs~carol
Just so beautiful and elegant...love your gorgeous gardenia!
This is so amazing and elegant, Aileen. Leaving the center part uncut for the sentiment was the perfect way to execute this card.
Thanks for the reminder! Great inspiration

I love the alcohol ink backgrounds you make! And this is no exception! Beautiful CASE!
Hello Aileen,
Amazing! I love the intense backdrop for these beautiful openwork flowers. I love the way you divided the punch to make room for sentiment.
Unfortunately, I not quite coped with translation, as you did the great card. I suppose, but I'm not sure.
Have a nice Sunday :-)
Hugs,

You've really managed to make the most of those alcohol inks. The background panel is stunning. It shows through so beautifully! xx
