Watercolour Merry Christmas

My Christmas Card today is a quick watercolour. first I have stamped onto watercolour
cardstock then white embossed. I used Zig Watercolours at full strength within the stars but
very watery from the top of the card downwards.

I just carried the colour down to the top of each of the stars. Once the panel had dried
I added to my card base.

I then added a silver glitter cardstock die cut 'Merry Christmas. How easy was that. and now more tags that then got made into Christmas cards.

I got the idea for this collection outages from Jessica Frost Ballas
from her tags on 25 Days of Tags at Tracey's Challenge

and have used the same ombre paper pad from lil inker (love it). I actually
thought at first she had painted the line of colour. So simple this way.
Just changed the angle of cutting for each.

Then cut some white glitter card stock Christmas words and silver ones and
added to each layer. also added pieces of vellum behind two, one left plain.

Added ribbon to one and silver cord to two others. Did cut silver rings for top of
tags. all done nice and simple then again made into cards. Didn't worry about snow flakes except on the Joy Tag which I then added a couple more to, just never got around to photographing again.

My Final tag is white embossed on
cardstock, then embossed with dark and light blue until
I am happy with the final result.

When I had finished blending I gave the piece a brief  spray with Glimmer Mist

Which is what you an see here in the photo here..I then die cut with the stitch rectangle die and layered onto the die cut stitched tag that has been layered onto a die cut stitched tag from glitter card stock. A couple of clear gems were added to the tag in the circles and cord threaded through the centres.

I'm Trying to get into the Christmas Spirit

There's quite a few photos here so I won't go on to much, keep the to the details.
For this card I have used a few Stamp sets and die sets to set the scene. Love the Santa and so glad I got him. He suits Australia to a 'T'. I coloured him up with copics and I actually bought him with the dies so die cut as well even though he would be easy enough to cut out. It was the other parts of the set that are more fiddly.
I used a MFT grass die to give me a layer of grass and a stitched half circle die for the Peek-a Boo
window. Santa is on the inside. The grass on the outside. I trimmed the sentiment so that on the outside is 'I'm trying to get into the Christmas spirit'
and on the inside is 'but Ive lost my bottle opener!' and there is a coconut drink waiting there for Santa (maybe its an alcoholic coconut drink.......

This angle the card looks like its swollen but you get the idea. Neat card, I got the idea from the great card Jenni Murray had made for the Muse Challenge this week.

This next card came as inspiration from a couple of challenges. At AAA Challenges the theme is circles, at Less is More its Emboss Resist and at CASology the Theme is Soft. I think I have met the themes for all three.

For CASology SOFT my interpretation has been using soft colouring from the soft white sparkle embossing, to the very soft pink blending and the soft pink mirror card and gems on the card.

These tags are now on Christmas cards that went to the Caring Hearts Card Drive but I took photos so I could add to Tracey's Challenge and I am running out of time.

I made the cards and didnt even notice that I had a bit of stray ink on the side of this tag but I am just going to ignore it now. The card is al finished off. This tag looks fine with the one tree but
I like this one better with the three trees. This stamp set is a set from Papertrey. I managed to do very well recently and got a pile of stamps and dies all for 2, 3 or $4 each which was brilliant especially as some are now in the vault and now cost $46. So even though postage is high it was totally worth. This was one set, they are cute little trees and come in three pieces. I used Hero Art Inks. I did try my Altenew Inks first but Im not that happy with coverage with their inks so went Hero Art and liked that coverage better. Just tried different colours till I was happy. Then added vellum behind. Blue vellum for one and shear patterned vellum for the other. Very fine ribbon for the tag tops.

I was originally inspired by Daria's tag
but having to take into account the tragedies I have and also the tree stamps I don't have I had to make do the best to could so even though I started with her inspiration I went a different way but thats what crafting is all about isn't it.

Okay thats it for today, only another 100 cards for Christmas to go hahahahah.

Thank you so much for coming to visit and I hoe you come again soon.

Celebrate and Merry & Bright

Another two cards, one coloured in and one with no colouring and all die cuts.

The first card i have used a Stamping Bella stamp that I bought last year and didnt get enough use out of so a bit of colouring to catch up on. also did some paper piecing but thats for another day.
These young ladies look so elegant and of course thats me on the left in my favourite green dress 'whoop' and the shoes I do all my housework in!!!!

Coloured with copics and the red dress and green dress look much better than they are showing up here but you will just have to trust me with that. Anyhooo after colouring I used the wonky stitched die to cut out the panel.

Then decided to add this wonderful sparkly green glitter paper to the front of the card first, then the girls then finished it off with a silver mirror cardstock 'celebrate' die cut. Another of the cards that went to the 'Caring Hearts Card Drive' .

Now we have a card with a tag, a shaker tag, die cuts, vellum. Talk about an easy and pretty looking card, I was really pleased with this.
The card base I added a layer of vellum the same size as the cardbase so its front and back and has wonderful silver dots on it so it looks lovely and elegant. I have die cut the stitched tag in white card stock and another layer in acetate.
After cutting the Merry & Bright word square in silver mirror cardstock I then cut the same size out of the tag with a square die so I could make it into a shaker tag.

I attached the acetate layer behind the white card, the silver mirror Merry & Bright to the front then added to layers of dimensional foam in a square around the outer edge of the square cut out, added all clear, silver and a couple of gold star sequins then sealed off with a piece of white card. Looking at it now thinking next time I might use another layer of acetate so you can see the dotty vellum behind the tag but I'm still happy with this. It looks elegant and makes another nice card for the 'Caring Hearts Card Drive'.

Merry & Bright Pink Christmas Tag

There's lots of die cuts on this card. My tag consists of a white layer of cardstock and an acetate layer cut from the stitched tag die. Then I have cut the Merry & Bright die out of pink mirror cardstock. I found a square die that is nearly a perfect fit for the Merry & Bright word box so I used that to cut out the centre of the white tag.

I added the acetate layer behind the white layer originally as I was planning to make a shaker tag but was looking at the white sparkle card stock I had and it looked absolutely fantastic behind the tag so I added that instead. So in this instance the acetate is purely cosmetic and just too fiddly to remove.

I then cut a tag circle out of the pink mirror cardstock for the top of the tag and attached at the top of the tag. I have some fine silver threads and grabbed about 4 or 5 pieces that I twisted together fed through, looped then just played down the tag. I decided to add this soft pink vellum to the front of the card and there was only enough fro the front of the card. So I secured where it would be hidden by the placement of the tag. After attaching the tag I decided it needed something else and added the silver die cut snowflake.

Enough die cuts????

Perfect for the Simon Says Challenge I think

Thank you so much for coming to have a look and I hope you come again soon.
