It's been ages since I posted a card. Got the flu, they thought it was Whooping Cough but no it was just the flu. Its taken me four weeks to get back into the craft room. I have coloured and coloured so many images but today was my first day for making cards. I made six but just have three here today and two need to be posted asap. So will keep the chit chat short and get straight onto the cards.
This card here I have used a digital image from Vanilla Arts
You join the club and you get free digital images and colouring
recipe and videos and she is just brilliant.
I watched the video and I read the instructions then I did my attempt. I wanted to stay as
close as possible to what Amy did with the candles as I loved the look. I had to work out
my own colours for most of it as I didnt have the ones recommended so I picked what
I felt was as close as. I love the bit of purple in the candle flames.
I ended up cutting with a wonky die then added to a piece of bright orange
pattern paper that I had added to the front of the card. I put some yellow fun
foam unbeaten the layers to lift it a little then finished of with 'Make a Wish'
for a birthday card.... ohh and some Wink of Stella to the flames and the icing.
This beautiful stamp is from Concord and 9th. I haven't
coloured this before and in this instance I have stamped the flowers and not worried
about the paint/fill one.
I copic coloured with light pink and mint green then sent over the
layers with my new Polychrome pencils. Bit of yellow copic
in the centre and White Gel pen dots. Went over some of the dots with
yellow as well sit looked wrong at first.
I was really please with the look in the end. Gold splatter.
The sentiment is from Altenew, haven't had a chance to
use the flower stamps that go with the sentiment yet.
This card I have used a new The Ton Stamp (Edited here as I accidentally named another company and TaeEun pointed it out, thank you sweetie) set and the sentiment that came with it.
This group of flowers are set up like this. This was a last minute decision
as I decided it would be perfect for a couple of challenges.
Stamped with Hero Arts Grey ink then Copic coloured with yellow Y02 and Y08
and greys C-1 C-3 nd wee bit of C-5.
Had to be careful not to over blend as the ink was being removed by the copic
and I didnt want no line. Finished off with the sentiment and a few yellow enamel dots
that needed to be added as I had finished and realised I had added some black ink smear.

You've been missed, Aileen!! You color like a professional artist even when you are down on your flu bed! These are all spectacular cards, especially that birthday cupcake and candles!! You take care now and don't have a relapse; you've got a ton of colored toppers to turn into cards now. That's the not-so-fun part, lol! Hugs, Darnell
