This is the card I started out trying to make a pastel card. As you can see it was a dismal fail as a pastel but boy I love the colours I ended up with. I love this stamp, no having to work out where the flowers should be put, its all laid out perfectly for you. The only thing I found difficult was because I do love embossing in white on watercolour paper so seeing where to add the colours is a wee bit fiddly to start with but quickly remedied. I find adding the lightest of washes gives me a good guide to build from.
Using Canson Watercolour paper means I could use my Zigs and lots of water so I just chose a light and darker in each colour and then went from there.
When I had finished I want to add a colour for the background and decided to go green rather than blue, I used the lightest green but found that it was rather vibrant in your eye bright so added a bit of olive around the outlines and washed it into the green.
Then I decided to use this brilliant Hello word die. At first I added a gold inlaid layer and it looked quite good but the gold mirror card and my fingers don't really like each other much. It stuck to my fingers as I tried to inlay and I fiddled around so much (it was like one of those cartoons you see where as it unsticks in one spot it sticks at another, I can laugh about it, now). It ended up with so many glue fingerprints it looked crap, so I decided to add another layer and then I decided to add the original and I fell in loooove. I know you can hardly see it but IRL you can and its just perfect.
I then used the stitched rectangle die that leaves the stitches on the cut and the negative. I decided to cut the cardbase and inlay the watercoloured image rather than use the piece the watercolour was cut from (only because the rectangle moved and the negative looked very crooked.
All finished off with some pretty green sparkles.
