I need to work on my titles, either start numbering them or come up with something witty and catchy, one day, in my to do pile.
For now we will just stick with whatever pops into my head at the time, as long as its not rude. I don't know about you but I spend a bit of each day looking through Feedly to see what challenges are on, how long till they finish etc. And I write myself little notes and my lists grow steadily as I have so many challenges I admire.
Then I go into my craft room, maybe make one card for a challenge cause its ending soon then
drift off into what I feel like making, then when its time to put on my blog have to go hunting for
challenges to suit the cards. Anyone else do that??? I must waste so much time, but then I love looking at all the wonderful blogs, seeing so many cards I want to do, I have a folder full of photos that had to be taken off my computer it was getting so data heavy lol. No shortage of inspiration there.
Okay enough sidetracking - here we go.
This card was inspired by the Less Is More challenge but I don't know if its
CAS enough to meet requirements but I sure loved making it. First I cut a tag
shape with just the paper cutter and then I taped it to the table top.
I used a NBUS balloon stencil and I cover the rows of
balloons only leaving one row showing at a time. Then I blended Distress Inks
light then bright going up the balloon, two colours to each balloon.
Once the blending was finished I added BoBunny glitter
paste, ohhh I love this paste, it dries clear and sparkly. Check it out. After adding the
paste I quickly remove the stencil so I can wash it and left the tag to dry.
Then I got a piece of kraft cardstock, folded into card and stamped all
over the front with Versamark ink and a couple of small balloon stamps.
I let that dry naturally.
I then attached the tag, a 'best wishes' diecut and finished off by taking a piece
of ribbon (I think its actually for binding) and added colours I had used for the balloons
with the blending tool. Sprayed on a bit of shimmer spray then left it to dry.
Made a double bow by first watching a clip on Youtube. Attached at the top of the tag
with a glue dot.
This is my second use of this card. Stamped and coloured with Copics.
This time I used three colours with each flower to five better shadow and light.
Started out it was going to be soft colouring but got brighter as I went.
I then used a glue pen to fill the 'hello' and added extra fine white glitter.
Added the 'gorgeous' sentiment and a few sequins and outlined the flowers in B000.
Yep found another poor unloved Penny Black stamp in my NBUS pile.
Isn't he wonderful, he actually comes with a sentiment but I decided to
go in a different direction.
Stamped on watercolour card stock, painted with zigs then finished off
with some copics. Outlined in blue.
Doesn't his face say it all. Then instead of the sentiment 'Hang in There' I
decided I liked this sentiment:
Always believe
That something
wonderful
Is about to happen.
Finished off with a few enamel dots.
Challenges:
my 'Best Wishes' card was inspired by this challenge.
'Best Wishes' card for this challenge without
going with the Topping. I don't have felt
so that was an easy one.

Your cards are really fabulous Aileen - you're a girl after my own heart with your love of glitter and sparkle!! I ADORE that first card with the stencilled and sparkled balloons, and will have to get some of the bo bunny glitter paste! And I'd LOVE to know who makes the best wishes die?? (let me know on Instagram if you can??)
I also love the beautifully vibrant colours you used on the middle card....... and then the 3rd card..... LOVE it - and the sentiment is perfect as the kitty plops off the tree!!

Crikey! Those are some awesome cards Aileen. Your card is so adorable and fun, your flowers are so crisp and vibrant (fallen in love with that card!)and the blending of inks on your balloons is amazing. The added sparkle from the glitter paste is just the best touch. Maybe I personally would have left the background plain on that card, but stamping in a tone on tone really helps to keep that CAS feeling. Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Less is More xx
....that should have said ' your cat card is so adorable and fun'
What super cards! The cat card is so much fun - definitely time to take that stamp out of the NBUS pile and give it some love! I adore the Hello card - it's one of my fave stamps ever - and your colouring is great. Loving the vibrancy of your balloons card with the elegant gold sentiment. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)
What great cards, Aileen! I absolutely love the balloon stencil & wow, the glittered word over the gorgeous flowers--stunning!
They are all gorgeous, Aileen! The balloons with glitter paste are really cheerful! I should check out that paste. The hello card is beautifully colored and I love the sentiment you gave the poor cat on the last card! Thanks for joining at Seize the Birthday! Have a wonderful weekend!
I know what you mean about titles, Aileen. I gave up and just use the challenge names and numbers. It's so much easier and I can go back and find them on my blog. I love that glitter paste. It's now on my shopping list. Your flower coloring is gorgeous and the cat is a riot. I love the change in sentiment.
Some beautiful cards here. That cat is too cute! Thanks for playing at Use Your Stuff - Gail

Ah, yes, I do waste a lot of time writing down challenges, then three days later doing it all over again!! Even wasting time on that, you managed to knock out three more stunning cards, Aileen! I love them all and think you rocked the challenges! Thank you very much for playing in NBUS #10 with two of these cards! Hugs, Darnell
Wow! I love the full color card! Is there so much optimism and joy. Great and beautiful cart.
