Hello and Soaring By to say....Happy Birthday

This first card is a very easy card done using a Hero Arts Wood Block 'Flower Burst'
that I have stamped twice once pink and once in multi pink ink then clear embossed. I added
little pink gems to the centres of the flowers.

I cut the panel out, then another in pink very close in size
and glued together. I then attached a piece of this pink web like material/ribbon that folds to
the inside of the card and is hidden behind a paper insert inside the card so its nice and tidy.
I finished the card off with this beautiful 'Hello'
Look at the wonderful shimmer of the flowers from the  clear embossing.

This next card was made a while ago, quite a while ago and has a funny
story to it and I think I will share it cause you know you love my funny stories.

A few months ago now I was really sick with flu, even ended up with doctor deciding it
had to be whooping cough as it was knocking me about so much and for all that went on I have only just now started to feel half human. Anyhoooo just as it started I  got an email and was asked if I would like to be Guest Designer at Inkspirational Challenges. I was so excited, shot back yes I would love to, even though I was starting to feel disgustingly ill. I had weeks anyway. I had my inspirational word to work with and it would pop into my head every now and then and I would think about it and time was getting closer, I went back and looked at the email and thought some more.
I discussed with my family as I was struggling with ideas and even cheated and talked to a couple of bloggy friends. Interior - my thoughts and of course dictionary 'interior' were interior design and everyone else was the same so a room furniture, then my husband said 'interior - Africa'

So this is my masterpiece. Die cut leaves from watercolour card stock I had done the
shaving cream and ink colours on. Cut a stitched rectangle shape out of the front
of the card that is covered with the green leaves and Icant remember why now but
I covered the cut out area with green vellum for the dense forest then when you open
the card

Its blue card and the bird inside and sentiments are from Your Next Stamp
After making this card that  I thought was very clever and going to send my email as it was due with only two hours to spare. I'm linking it up and looking at the email again and get the shock of my life, its not 'interior' it's 'URBAN'. Go on ask me where I got 'Interior' from.
Who knows where it came from, what dream where I even looked at an email and rechecked my word. My husband and the kids all just shook their heads like mum you are so nuts but well what can I say, I got the other card made in record time and sent and posted all with out a hitch which is usually my style anyway.

Im sure I'll find a Challenge or two to enter this one in and theres bound to be someone out there that will appreciate this card. :)

Thanks so much for coming to visit and I hope you come by again soon.

Oh Aileen, you do make me laugh, just as well you are the expert at last minute cards! Love the first card, the silver really makes the whole card pop. I love your second card, so inventive, perhaps you need to set up a challenge with "interior" as the theme!

It is great to stab the first card, but the second card is staggering. I love the leaves have an extra dimension as they fill the window nicely. And your parrot is so sweet :-)
