Hello Sweet Baby

Needed a baby card for a little girl. Couldn't resist using this one again, its so cute.
This is a Mo's Digital Pencil image comes as an outline and you have to colour. Did my colouring with Copics, makes it so easy.
Look at that cutie patootie face, just want to squeeze those cheeks. After colouring I added Glossy Accents to the eyes as I think it just adds to the look.

I then cut out with the crooked stitched die. I added the pink and white patterned paper to the front of the card then attached the die cut square at an angle therefore eliminating the need to have straight eye lol. Stamped the sweet sentiment
'hello sweet baby
the world is a better place now
that you are in it'

All finished and ready for a Challenge or two

Before I do I thought I would share a photo of the triplets and their brother Cohen who helped me hold the babies and more importantly Cohen with mummy and the triplets all home for the first time. All home and doing so well.

Thats it for today, thank you so much for coming to visit and I hope you come again soon.

'Hooray it's your day' and 'Celebrate'

Two cards today, and like many of my cards just going to squeak
it in to a couple of challenges that are on.

the inspiration for this card is:
Isn't this collection stunning, so many ideas.

This first card was done by gold embossing on white cardstock. This beautiful design is an Altenew stamp and I loved it when it first came out and still do. It has such a wonderful look to it.  I then did blending using Carved Pumpkin; Ripe Persimmon and Abandoned Coral, the lightest being the carved pumpkin and finished by going over the abandoned coral with the ripe persimmon so it  blended in better. I do love Distress Inks.
Look at that colour, so yummy, finished it off with some gems that I placed over the gold embossed dots and stamped 'celebrate' in black. Finished and happy.

Then I sat there and blended another couple of cards same colour and then I sidetracked to rainbows and boy it can be hard to stay on track sometimes. Of course then I had to scrub my fingers that still now look like I have taken up smoking big time and have nicotine embedded in my skin. Gross I know but thats the colour scheme on my hands at the moment and felt I should share.

Next is a birthday card.
My inspiration for this card
This is done by Jenni Murray for Muse Card Challenge.
I just recently got the present die I have used but it was an up pile rather than an along pile.Took my inspiration from the pile of presents; die cut; lots of colours. Thank you so much Jenni for your wonderful inspiration.

I die cut this present pile twice, once on gold mirror card and once on watercolour paper. I kept the watercolour piece all together as one piece so I could colour with my zigs using a darker colour at the bottom and pulling it up and out with a lighter version of the same colour.

I then glued the outline to my cardbase. I have been adding lots of wee little dots of glossy accents for my glue and letting it sit for a couple of minutes before adding to the card. I find it easier to re-adjust and don't end up with glue smears everywhere.

Once the gold layer was set I added more glossy accent dots within the die outline so I could glue the watercoloured sections in. I finished it off by adding the gold hearts onto of the watercoloured hearts and stamped my sentiment ' hooray IT'S YOUR DAY'

Challenges I would like to enter them in:

Entering my card with the presents

Hooray its your day and "I wish you all the best"

Hooray its your day - Dimension is the die cut presents.

Celebrate card for this challenge.
(Had to laugh, click over and hit the wrong page and thought I had
missed the challenge cause I was taking too long but I was wrong lol).

Guest Design for Just Us Girls Challenge #345 Photo Week

It's Just Us Girls Challenge #345 - Photo Inspiration Week

It's my last appearance as Guest designer for  Just Us Girls Challenge for the month of
May 2016. Every week JUGs challenge blogs brings a unique challenge to spark your
creativity. It's fun and a great way to get the creative flow going.

The fourth week  in May is - Photo Weekmeaning you look at the photo and take your
inspiration from that.  Whatever in the photo inspires you is what you should go with. For
me, I was inspired by the wallpaper both colour and the style and the deep pink flowers,
This is what I created...

To make this card, First I took a piece of patterned paper
With this I blended Distress Inks Squeezed Lemonade and a little Fossilised Amber.
It took on the plain paper but the glossy part stayed white. I added this once it was
coloured to a 5 x 5" card base.
I used the Gerber Flowers from Uniko, stamped and clear embossed on watercolour paper.
I then used a mix of oranges and pinks but got a bit heavy handed with the main flower and
it now looks more red than orange/pink in the photo. I added a wee bit of Wink of Stella for
sparkle to the petals. For the leaves I white embossed on vellum and coloured on the back
so the colour was very light, I needed some greenery but didnt want it to take up the picture
(not sure if I've described it properly there but you are sure to get the idea when you look at
the card).

I finished it off with a die cut sentiment in gold mirror card. I was going to do white as white
features quite strongly in the photo but it just got lost on the background pattern.
I had fun doing this and made a few different backgrounds using stencils as well which you
will see at some stage later.
I hope you find this inspirational and come play along with us, HERE at Just Us Girls.
Go over and check out what the Design Team have done.
I cant thank the Design Team enough for giving me a chance to participate and would like
to thank everyone for their lovely comments over this month. Each and every comment has
been appreciated.

With Love 'Congratulations on your Engagement"

My son Arron and Rachael are having their Engagement party tomorrow so theres lots going on.
They had photos done to commemorate their special day
but only let us see a couple until tomorrow. Cant believe my last son
is engaged and talking about buying a house.
Aaron is Elysha's twin and the youngest
(by 10 minutes to Elysha) of my five children.

So we needed a few cards. This one is for his Granddad Keith and
Nanna Nett to give him. Can show here as none of the kids look at the blog.

I used the bride and groom stamp from Stamping Bella but only used from
the bottom up, coloured with Copics and did her dress by adding glue and
then adding glitter and pressing it down. She is wearing a red dress tomorrow
so thought I would go with the theme here.

Nanna Nett loves bling so I added gems for the roses in her hand and a big
gem heart at the top there.

The gold spotted card front is another of those Papertrey card fronts pre foiled.
And my circle double stitched die fit perfectly to cut out the window
for the coloured picture to fit. Such an easy card to make and put together. Finished off
with the sentiment cut from gold mirror cardstock.

Just Us Girls #344 Colour Week

Hi everyone.
Happy weekend and I hope you are all enjoying the lead up to Summer. We are
still having abnormally warm weather during the day with temperatures up in the high 20C
but nights are certainly cooler. Apparently a few days ago it was the warmest on record  going back to 1923 at this time of year.
Now I wanted to share another brand new challenge over at
for my guest design spot for this month and
this week's color combo: Plum, Olive and Ivory.
These colours I struggle with as I am more a rainbow colours type of person. I did lots of looking on the internet and found  that firstly when I typed in 'plum'  there was quite a range of plum colours. I looked, played around and ended up with three cards I was quite happy with. Have decided to share two, did my photography then added the Just Us Girls logo and looked at that plum on that and saw that yes I have gone
more burgundy/plum than purple/plum.
   My cards:

My first time squishing Distress Ink inkpads directly onto the stamp. The stamp is a Penny Black (The Unfolding) I  used Seedless Preserve( Distress Inks) for the flower and  Crushed Olive for the stems and the cardstock is an ivory colour. Once the stamp was inked up I sprayed lightly and managed to get four card fronts done, from the one inking and still cleaned ink off the stamp. The fourth one is very light in coverage but Im sure I will find a use for it.

I then added water via a paint brush to connect the colours here and there but mostly left to dry. I had a few  previous attempts where I played too much and found myself wanting to tidy up and define and had to force myself to stop. The only additions I did here was to draw in or define those fine lines in the centre of the flower a little better.

Added some olive gems (no longer available) and a gold sentiment (gold mirror card available in lots of places).
It doesn't look like Seedless Preserve but it is.

Then I went with Copic colouring and used a colour that is called White Pearl (E41) and has the most amazing colour. To me it makes me think of a silky ivory colour.

This image is from Saturated Canary, isn't she a stunner. Wearing an off the shoulder Ivory body hugging dress opening into frills and lace  from the knees.
A beautiful big bow finishes the dress off.

This photo is a wee bit blurry but check out the shimmer of this material.
Its amazing what a juicy Wink of Stella can do and I drew with a clear glitter pen on the lines in the lace and up near her lashes and on the tips of the flowers in her hand.

Now we look at the rest of the card and the tulips are from a Penny Black (flower gala and comes with two stamps).
I stamped twice, one I left whole and just fussy cut the whole image as one. The other I coloured and fussy cut all the flower heads and leaves
so I could place them where I wanted.

I coloured all the tulips with Copics in the deep red range thinking burgundy/plum and should have gone purple/plum.  I loved this card by the time I finished. It is one of those ones where I had all the components and thought how do I use the ivory,
plum and enough olive green together.
Placed the main bunch of flowers then glued the girl over the top then while
still wet added more flowers and leaves here and there even getting that green leaf on the right to balance the leaf curving in the opposite direct on the left.
It all came together and finished off with the 'best wishes' sentiment again cut from Gold Mirror card. I was ecstatic till I added that colour list lol..... really thats so me.

Please be sure to stop by the Just Us Girls challenge blog to see all of the other wonderful inspiration from the team! :) . Even better come and join us with a card.

Thank you so much for coming to visit and I hope you will come again soon.

You are incredible.

Thought it was time to leave the vellum alone for a few days but still enjoying the zigs so decided to use this wonderful stamp from The Ton again. This time white embossed then I coloured hair and body lightly with copics and then out came the Zigs. This is a very special gown for a very special occasion.

I used the Canson watercolour paper which I find best for use with zigs. Then I drew a line of each colour down from the waist line then added water and pulled the colour out. I let it dry well before I moved onto the next colour. Made the bodice red and finished the dress off by using my clear Wink of Stella and as this photo shows lots of sparkle. Had to watch I didnt mix colours as the Wink of Stella reactivates the Zigs.

Still felt she needed something else so checked out the diamond necklace and hair pin for the night and finished her off with an 'incredible' silver mirror card sentiment.

Challenges:
white embossed

I think its CAS enough. If not let me know

Thanks everyone for coming to look and I hope you come again soon.
