Evening Out

Ok if you follow my blog at all you will know that I coloured this image for Kathy's 30 Day Colouring Challenge at the Daily Marker but said at the time I wanted to build on the background I had started.

Well now I have finished, I continued the very pale blue/green copic colour right out to edge of the card. I love how it turned out, it looks like a lush type of paining style with the colour flicking in one direction then the other but it doesn't really show up here so you will have to trust me on that.
I also carried the soft orange of the dress down to the bottom of the page. Once all the copic ink had dried I then drew on the edge of the cardstock with a versamark clear marker, added gold embossing powder and heat set. Then I also add a line of gold embossing around the waistband and the top of the dress.

Now to decide what to do on the card. I ended up deciding on dark blue as I felt that highlighted the card well.  Finished off with two gold dots and a piece of shear ribbon I had. I tied it in a bow and then glued down with Glossy Accents. Also added a dot of glossy accents on the length of the ribbon that was hanging down to keep the two pieces together.

I love the ribbon, feel it finishes this card off perfectly and no sentiment was needed. (Actually if you know me you know I didn't think of the sentiment till after the photo was taken and I couldn't for the life of me think of what sentiment I would add :)

I knew that Therese had inspired me to add the ribbon as I saw it on a card she did recently (in the last year is recently to me) so went on a search to find the post and was surprised to see it wasn't that long ago. Check it out at Lostinpaper. Thank you Therese.

Would like to add this to:

Think that will do.

Thanks for coming to have a look and I hope you come visit again soon.

A little PS here:

I have had a win on Less Is More

Very very excited about that.

Also had a win with this card :Make A Wish

This was a random pick but still very, very noice I reckon.

I got to pick out some lovely background digital papers as my prize.

The Trifecta being my win at the Hop to Stop Domestic Violence

with this card post

Again this was a random pick but I have to say a very very noice pick again as I have won $200 worth of stamps from Unity (yes $200 worth) and I cant wait for my little parcel to arrive.

Hows that for a wonderful month. Will have to show mum the laptop when I go down now that I have updated. She will be very excited about it. Sorry, as I was writing that I was thinking I can show her again a week later and we can share the excitement again as she won't remember what I showed her this week.  A bit of humour there as we are always trying to see the funny side of life and she is finding it easier some days when I make jokes about memory or the lack there of, not only for her and dad but some days it feels like there is so much overload going on I cant remember things either. It's easier to laugh and see the fun side of life than to stew over what isn't any more.
