Long title but a beautiful saying apparently said by Audrey Hepburn. Love it and it comes in a set of sayings that are just as lovely. They are from The Ton along with the beautiful flowers I have stamped here. The flowers are from a set, each flower and leaf is separate and there is one other large peony and the set is called 'Loose Peonies'.
To be totally honest this is a card that wasn't meant to be cause anything that can go wrong has gone wrong. I started out with the wrong colours so the darker blue is covering the original colour that as purple. Then I grabbed the wrong green for the leaves, was onto the second leaf and the copic had a blob fest luckily it was to the leaves that have the darker blue flower stuck over the purple flower so most of the blob went under. The I realised after I had coloured the replacement flower I had gone one colour darker so it differs from all the other flowers.
Then we have all the strategically placed sequins for the bits of smudge ink I managed to get on the card and the spots of random blue that I was colouring with. To finalise I decided to add a strip of white glitter paper each side, have the coloured panel sitting slightly higher. I held, I measured I adjusted and I still ended up crooked and more one side than the other. I stamped the sentiment with Stazon Ink on the vellum so it wouldn't smudge and rather liked the look of it down on the design rather than above so I finished it off that way.
A card or errors but still loved.
Thank goodness Jake is a patient dog, Aaron entertaining himself using a photo app to turn Jake the companion into Jake the police dog. To do this they have to get Jake to stay still and stare at the phone so the app will recognise his face for structure for adding features. Usually the app will focus on the person holding the dog. He's a good boy (Jake that is)
I have used the same peony stamp and stamped three times.
Thanks so much for coming to visit and I hope you come again soon.
If you hadn't brought it up, I don't think there is any way to realize all the 'wrongs' in the card - it looks amazing!
A super floral creation and perfect for our theme Aileen, a lovely sentiment as well, many thanks for joining us again at Penny Black and More challenge.
Beautiful work Aileen, Locke end result.
I have just made card like this too, started three times on the colouring, pens didn't look right, pencils usually fool proof were ugh, so finally watercoloured it and loved it. Was a tricky digi image, such fine details and previous two techniques hid the details.
I love your card, and agree the stamp set is superb, if you hadn't 'fessed up, we'd have been none the wiser re booboos :)
God bless, Shaz in Oz.d
This is STUNNING! You could have never told us all that went wrong, as all looks beautifully right! Your peonies are gorgeous, fab coloring and placement! Ahh sequins my favorite little smudgy helper....mine are always 'randomly' placed, wink, wink. And of course that wonderful sentiment on a Vellum strip the perfect touch! Stunning I say! Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Mod Squad Challenge Donna, Challenge Host.
YOu know, we'd never know it had gone quite that badly wrong if you didn't tell us. When I saw it on the thumbnail it looked stunning! Nicely positioned smudge splodges because the sequins are in great places :) Beautifully done. Something about blue roses! xx
Oh my this is one beautiful CAS style card Aileen those flowers are stunning I love how you have done the sentiment on vellum it looks very professional, Jake is AWESOME, lol
It's something to do with peonies! My peony card has strategically placed sequins too and had to be rescued! Your card still turned out beautifully though. Love police dog! Cara x
Stunning card and loving the colours...maybe a catalog of errors but you honestly would'nt know...The vellum witht eh sentiment really finishes it off beautifully....love it! Jake is gorgeous too x
Honestly, I wouldn't have noticed any of those things if you hadn't mentioned them. And I'm still struggling to see them!!
I think your card turned out beautifully.
