Beach Party and a Thanks Card

I have two cards to share with you today. This first one was really easy once I knew what I was doing.
The Muse this week is Anita
And talk about totally inspired. Love love her card and would love to CASE it. But for my inspiration I loved the colours used, the die cut and the transparency of the balloons. I looked through my stencils ands immediately wanted to do balloons or butterflies. Tried butterflies but wasn't happy then say this wee little stencil

Stencil from Memory box I think, small circles, not busy and I loved it.

I blended through in Peacock Feathers, Shaded Lilac, Wilted
Violet and Pistachio  (I know theres something else with that name just gone blank)..Anyway after blending thru I used the BoBunny  clear glitter paste to add a bit of sparkle.

I then decided to use a die on a line and so used the Thanks one but after cutting I also blended on that the matching colours. I felt the bottom looked rather plain so I used a border die to cut the scallops and then added a small piece of acetate behind to level the card up. I am totally happy with the end result.

This card was inspired by the CASology Challenge ' Beach' and went a couple of different ways. It is nothing at all like I started out with and may be too busy for the CASology challenge but I hope not.

I started out white embossing waves and watercoloured them beautifully then added the beach but as I looked at it, it was more about the waves and less about the beach. Then I was looking at this cute crab I had coloured. I left some of the sand, this was all coloured with Copics and at first I was just going to add that to the card with some more sand around him.

Then I saw this 'beach' sentiment stamp I haven't used for years. I stamped I coloured, my beach spread out. I then decided to add the crab on dimensional foam tape so he stood a bit higher and finished him off by adding the 'party' die cut thats hanging from his nipper. I love it and as summer is getting closer there will be plenty of time to use it.

Challenges:

Thanks card is perfect for this challenge.

Beach Party is perfect for this challenge just not sure if its CAS
enough.

Beach Party Card with plenty of stamping in the 'beach'
sentiment and the crab also stamped.

Thanks card - the soft colours of the circles makes it
perfect for the CAS on Sunday Challenge.

Beach Party- with the Beach sentiment being
front and centre, perfect for this challenge.

'Thanks' card with glitter gel for dimension
and sparkle.- perfect card for the Casual Fridays challenge.

Thank you so much for coming to visit and I hope you come again soon.

Both cards are great, Aileen! I am really drawn to the first one. I adore those colors (Cracked Pistachio is what I think you were looking for). They blend so prettily together. Your circles look amazing with the BoBunny sparkle on them and the details you added below the sentiment help show off everything above the sentiment. Well done. The second card is just plain fun! I can just about hear the Calypso music. :) You've colored everything wonderfully and pulled together a fun and delightful card. Thanks so much for sharing!
