Mothers Day Post

I decided to do a Mothers Day card for my daughter-in-law as we
were all meeting for brunch this morning and its good for her to know
we appreciate and love her as much as her children do.
It's been a hard week at their place with the youngest Mason being out of
sorts all week, so lots of crying and clinging and bits of vomiting
and not much sleep all round.

I decided after colouring this Saturated Canary image with copics
to cut at an angle or is that angel with one of these wonderful border
dies, love the scallops and stitching and underneath I have added some
pattern paper thats all about family and love and the sentiment is
a new one from an Altenew flower set.

This next card here I have taken closer up and at an angle to try
and show the flower off properly. This is an old stamp
but still very popular for me. I love to white emboss on vellum
 then cut in layers.

Each layer is just glued down and is slightly smaller than the layer before it.
four layers finished off with a large gem to hide the glue bits and press the flower
down.

In this instance  I then cut the front layer smaller than the card base and added
silver spotted washi tape (ohh I so love using washi in this way) and a thin
dimensional tape so the panel sat just very slightly higher.
A few clear gems here and there and its finished and perfect for my mother-in-law.

Opps sorry if this comes as a double post. I forgot to add Challenges:

Happy Mothers Day
Has a flower and have had this stamp for many years.

Happy Mothers Day Flower stamped  card and fussy
cut from vellum.

Happy Mothers Day Flower with Washi
tape with dots all over.

Nothing Like a Mothers Love, celebrating
my daughter-in-law

okay now thats it, the photos and post below are not card related.

A couple of photos with my youngest grandkids (two of them) and poor little Elysha
who is sitting behind and hidden.

It was a very mild day so we were able to sit outside for Brunch and had
a lovely time with Dale Aaron and Elysha and my daughter-in-law, Mel.
They did take more photos so hopefully there will be one I can share later.

And of course I had to share a quick shot of my Mothers Day/ Birthday present, wahooooooo
Am I excited - not wrong. Cant wait to play with it, just off to visit with mum and dad and see
Jessie and Keegan then back tomorrow night, ohh then I babysit on Tuesday so I will have to wait
till Wednesday (which is my birthday anyway) to play with it. Maybe I could take to the Nursing home and pla........ no I know. I will wait.

Thanks so much for coming to visit and sharing a bit of my life. Hope you come again soon.

Your white vellum flower is gorgeous! Such a wonderful sentiment but that superb flower would look just as good on a wedding card. The little strips of silver washi were a great addition. Thanks so much for joining us at Retro Rubber.

From the ridiculous to the sublime, Aileen. Not that a Mom holding her baby while everything around her is chaotic, that you've colored beautifully by the way, is ridiculous but it is in sharp contrast to that gorgeous vellum flower on the second card.
