The Flower Challenge #10 Heat or Dry Emboss

It's time for a new challenge at
The Flower Challenge and this month is
Which means either stamp and heat emboss the image or use an Embossing folder. I have Embossing Folders but very few that have flowers on them and now as Im writing this post I have just thought of a folder I could have used that is perfect so I think maybe I need to go make another card just because I can lol.

Anyway for todays card I have stamped and embossed.

But before I stamped I played with my Distress Ink Oxides. Worn Lipstick, Wilted
Violet and just a splash of Faded Jeans and lots of water flicks.  Once I was happy with the look of the page I decided to try stamping and try playing with copics as I had seen a video that Kelly Latovia and she is making a background and using Copics and is absolutely brilliant so go watch, but after ok, (if you go now you may not come back, as she is so so clever).

I stamped and white embossed with lots of masking these beautiful flowers from Altenew, then when happy with composition I coloured with Copics. Very very little colouring. It was just to add some contrast to the flower and the background, it does feel funny as you colour and I don't know how good it is for the Copic colouring over this medium but they appear to have held up ok.

I only used the darker colours in the Copics and then used grey C5 to add a bit of shadow, a silver mirror card die cute sentiment from Neat and Tangled and some silver gems and its all done. I did go over a couple of spots where the Copic had dulled the white embossing with my white gel pen.

A different card with a very different feel to the front of it. Such interesting inks, cant wait for the rest of Distress Oxides to come out.

Now its time to go over to The Flower Challenge and see what the rest of the Design Team have made for your Inspiration. If I know them at all it will be stunning.

Aileen, I'm so envious of people who can do this gorgeous water color washes, I struggle so much with this and I get so frustrated when I end up with just a muddy mess.
Wish I could see you creating one like this on your card, it's so beautiful and just the perfect background for your embossed flowers.
The water splatters and that gorgeous, bold, golden sentiment, finish your design beautifully.
Big hugs, my friend,
Maria.

That's an amazing background and I'm so impressed that you coloured in with the Copics on top - and I'm also happy to hear they weren't hurt in doing so. The colours are just stunning! xx
