Guest Designer at Less is More

It's always exciting to be asked to be Guest Designer on a Card Challenge Blog.  I am no different to anyone else, my heart did a jump and a flutter and I of course sent an email back instantly saying 'yes I would love to do it'. Then of course the doubts hit in.

Guest Designer on Less is More, mmmm can I keep myself CAS enough. Stop those extra bits and pieces sneaking in.

I picked this beautiful digital flower even though I have a thousand stamps I could use but I was on holidays down the coast when I got the email and there is nothing like there here and now. So I used what I had with me. I coloured with Copics and kept the colour very light in the centre of each petal
so white shows through giving a curve to the petals.

I did want to go one layer but I hadn't taken any stamps with me but I had some die cuts and sequins so attached these.

The diecut in silver glitter works beautifully with the blue and the sequins are a mix of all blues
and silvers. A little bit of yellow pen for the flower centres and the card is finished. I'm really happy with how it looks, it was extremely easy to do and very quick to throw together.

Now it's time to go over to the Less is More challenge and check out what all the Design Team have done and get inspired and add a card or two of your own.

Thanks so much for coming to have a look.

EDIT:

Just back to add a few Challenges :

Perfect for

Although this post says the 1st it is

Such a sensational card Aileen! You really gave us all something so beautiful to work with. Those flowers look incredibly real and that is all down to your expert colouring. I must say that I was gobsmacked when I realised you did this on holiday with so few supplies. Brilliant! Thank you so much for being a fantastic guest designer. xx

Amazing! How you painted these lilies deserves a gold medal, Aileen. The color is unusual for lilies but they look stunning!
Happy Easter, Aileen.

Thanks for providing such a pretty and CAS perfect card for us to CASE in this challenge Aileen. Blues are one of my favourite colour combos so it was a pleasure to work with it and I'm amazed you managed to create this one on a camping vacation with limited supplies. Awesome work and thanks for Guest Designing at Less is More x

You could not have chosen a better card, Aileen! Blue is my favorite color and this flower is just beautiful, it also reminds me of my favorite flower: the hydrangea! As for your coloring, it is simply stunning! I loved CASEing you. And thank you for being our wonderful GD for this challenge !

Beautifully done, Aileen! I wish there were more blue flowers "for real" in nature, don't you? Thanks for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!

This digital stamp is a beauty and your Copic coloring looks amazing! I love the depth and how you were able to leave your brush strokes visible without the end result looking messy at all! Very beautiful. Thank you for providing us wonderful inspiration at LIM!

Aileen, your coloring is so realistic that I truly want to reach out and touch it. Love how your strokes of color really give so much dimension, I am beyond impressed that you could pull this together with basically no supplies--goes to show just how very talented you are, wow!!! That silver "love" really brought out the cool tones. I'm not really a CAS cardmaker either, but I have such respect for those who do it so well, and it takes real ingenuity to do it well, I think. This is great!!! I saw your card on the SSS challenge and had to take a closer look and I am glad that I did, for your card looks even better close up. I look forward to browsing in your blog! I am hoping to start my own blog this year, I simply have a small Splitcoaststampers gallery and I love SCS and I think it's time to expand... Again, well done creating such a gorgeous floral card with so little in supplies with you--but then, when you have such artistry, you do not NEED a lot. Bravo, Aileen!!!

Best wishes to you,

Joanne Lowe
