Wonderful

I was just about to start dinner and an idea hit. Lucky It was easy night so I gave Elysha left overs and went to my craft room. I was thinking about peacock feathers and the colours and the new die I have from Papertrey for feathers anti came together quite well I thought. Both of these feathers have been cut from the front of this card and then put back into the negative space. I coloured the feathers

with Distress Inks, then removed all the little bits and coloured the feathers a bit heavier. I then used double sided sheet inside the card across the area where the feathers would go back into. I put the feathers into place then all the little bits which I then decided to cover with 'Wink of Stella'.

Once they were all secured in place and glittered up, I added a couple of gems that have the most amazing colours that bounce around in them. Finished it off with a silver mirror cardstock die cut'Wonderful'.
Now I have the stamped ones to colour but I realised I needed to get dinner for the DH and myself and get this card uploaded before the challenge Closes.

Challenges:

Peacock colours
ohh 10 hrs left I might get that other card done anyway :)

Thanks so much for coming to visit and I hope you come again soon.

Those feathers look terrific Aileen. Love the way you made the colours so bold and the added sparkle on the little inner bits is a stroke of genius. The sentiment is superb too. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More.

I love this, Aileen! What a striking card, and such beautiful colours. The Wink of Stella looks absolutely fantastic in the spaces. That's a lovely sentiment too... I think I have it on my wishlist if it's the one I'm thinking of. It's now a must-have item! Thanks for enabling me, and for playing with us at Less is More :)

How wonderful that you 'went with' your dinner-time sparked idea and created these gorgeous, shimmery feathers! So eye-catching (now I wonder how beautiful the bird is that they came from *grin*)

Beautiful feathers and I love the mirror sentiment! Inspiration also sometimes hits me once I've laid the table so I just skip dinner! My family have now come to get used to my "artistic" temperament!
