I deliberately did that, put the whole first line in so it sticks in your head and now if you remember this song its going to play around in your head all day like it has mine. 

But first we will go to the Succulents card. I haven't used this stamp which is from Altenew in quite a while, actually since the last time I think I stamped it that time on pattern paper too!!! I'm afraid they are not high on my list of favourite stamps (only because I prefer flowers) as I have no idea really what to do with them or what colour they should be. And of course after taking the photos and as I started to do the post I noticed ohhh I need to fix some of my stamping, the tips are missing.

I looked to how others had coloured theirs and used their examples as I don't even know the names to look them up on the internet. But once coloured I was very happy. The paper is from a now pulled apart paper pad (I did this with all my paper pads to put papers in sections - stars/ stripes/ watercolour washes/ flowers etc) so I am more likely to use. Of course this means I cannot name papers but its a cool look and perfect for these plants - yes!!

Coloured with Derwents Coloursoft Pencils - perfect for people with hands that are weak or have arthritis as they are easy to apply layers upon layers. Very happy with end result and love the pots, those blues mmmm mmm. Sentiment from one of my Stamping Bella Stamp sets.

Now my next card came about because of the sentiment.

Ohhh I love it. I come from a house that had a mother that sang all the time, nothing modern of course. All the songs she grew up with and heard from her life growing up and I just loved it and still do. I love to hear the old crooners and the singers like The Andrews Sisters and onwards. There are always things that stick in our heads like 'Sky's of Blue' 'You are Mr Sunshine' and I was looking through Technique Junkies stamp website buying too many stamps and low and behold there it is

I had to have it and I had to build my card around it. Well I had this wonderful lady who is a digital image I bought ohh so long ago and forgot to colour, so it was time to do that as she is just perfect for the sentiment - yes??

After colouring her, I then stamped the sentiment but felt I needed something else so decided to add the building which is a Penny Black stamp I have had for quite a while and again have not used for a while. I stamped in pale grey and coloured very small amount in grey.

I cut the panel slightly too thin for the card so added some glitter washi to the side, perfect and see the dots, they are like sequins but no holes. They are all colours and are from The Ton. Love them. Think I need more, just wish they weren't so staticeee (yes not a word but you know what I mean when trying to get from plastic bag and they stick to everything)

Congrats and Birthday Wishes

I've been colouring each day for the colouring challenge over at  TheDailyMarker30DayColouringChallenge but decided to just post every couple of days rather than every day as posting daily means blogging daily to then make the card available to put it onto Instagram if I want to put it there or Facebook.

   

This first card is a multi purpose card and can be for a Wedding,  Engagement, 

Anniversary or Birthday. Its pretty and without fuss and just a bit of bling with the silver glitter 'congrats' diecut which I cut from a type of reinforced paper. I could never cut with my Cuttlebug but now I have the Big Shot it cuts beautifully with single pass through.

I have heat embossed in white on Multimedia paper then used Zigs with lots of water.

Colours this time main colour blue then brought in other colours. I wanted yo make it look like it was transitioning from one flower to the other so the one on the left started darker pink- mauve to light pink- mauve then flower on right pale blue- pink to dark blue- pink to dark blue -purple.

Wee bit of green for stems and glues die cut in place. Decided I didn't want any sequins on this one.

Stamping Bella image stamped then coloured with Copics.

Sparkle pen to add a bit of glitter to her skirt and frill on her top.

Because of the placement of the image and the size of the card there really wasn't anywhere for the sentiment I wanted to use so I changed my mind and went extra large with a die cut and cut out this one from some shiny  rainbow cardstock and put it inside the card.

Finished it off wit some enamels dots here and there. Realised I had nothing other than one mauve enamel dot, need to remedy that. Not even in Nuvo. How bad was that, no mauve, no purple what is wrong with me.

Hello, a belated birthday wish.

I bought the perfect sentiment to go inside my cards because I am always late sending my birthday cards out. No making them, I have cards galore just trying to find a system that works for sending them on time. SO I found the perfect stamp for inside instead

I SHOULD HAVE SENT

Isn't that just perfect. You can put something else on the front so it's a card that can be put up and displayed and doesn't need to be put away cause their birthday has past BUT acknowledges I have as usual missed their birthday but still love them......

I have stamped and white embossed the flower Mondo Hydrangea by Julie Ebersole, love it and have seen it done so many ways. It never ages. I have the die as well which means making a mask is so easy. So there was lots of masking for leaves here and there as I wanted this particular one to look like a part of a bush.

Here you can see it side on. I think the colours are my imagination colours but then the last one I did was rainbow colours so this one is probably closer to realism than that one. I stamped on multimedia cardstock and painted with Zigs, lots of different pinks and oranges and lots of water. 

I coat the petals with the palest pink then just add dashes of the other colours then a big pool of water and move theatre around to move the colour. I would do roughly three flowers each time, so thats three smaller ones within the bunch not letting the Zigs dry out too much. If it does add more of the colour and water.

The leaves, three green, palest, olive darkest water. Some sequins and the 'Hello' from one of the Hero Art Monthly Kits, isn't it neat. And then that sentiment on the inside sleeve I have added to make it a  Belated Birthday Card.

so I feel I have met the qualifications there.

The Flower Challenge #21 Use A Previous Challenge

Well I enjoyed myself so much using Zig Watercolour brushes on vellum in the last challenge

that I decided to do just one more Floral card using the same technique. So I am going with 

May 2018 Vellum/Acetate as I used Vellum or Dec 2016 Using old stamp as I've had this stamp for quite some time now or July 2017 Embossing as I Heat Embossed or even August 2017 Focus on Background as its a Background Floral Stamp.

Hows that for previous challenges covered.

Here I have used something old and something new as I have had this background stamp from

 The Ton called Morning Glory Garden Cling Background for quite some time. I have stamped and heat embossed on watercolour cardstock, copic cardstock, multimedia cardstock and vellum. My zigs did not work well on the watercolour cardstock and ruined the piece I was working on. The multimedia piece is half finished and waiting for inspiration and was put aside. 

The idea for vellum and zigs came today and I am in love, I love the look. Again no water, three colours each pulling the next to add the movement. I added the panel nearly complete to a white card base. I splurged recently on the large letter words also from The Ton so today I have used the 'You're amazing'.

I die cut in gold glitter paper and pink fun foam. I added double sided tape to the fun foam before die cutting and left the letters in the original piece of foam, used tweezers to remove the backing tape then added the gold glitter letters. After that I added glue to the back of the funfoam and let it dry enough so that it was tacky and could be placed without making a mess.

A few sequins finished the design off.  It doesn't look half as brilliant as it does in real life I tell you, I am wrapped, such an easy way to colour this background stamp and I am looking at that pale pink and already thinking of other ideas.

as the Zigs are watercolour brushes but I used the colours 

to move the colours no water so if you feel its wrong let me

know and I will take out of link.

Happy Birthday Fairy

Todays fairy fills nearly the whole card unlike the wee little ones I used yesterday. Todays sweetie is a digital image I have coloured in from Mo's Digital Pencil. She's called Lula Fairy Doll and comes with a pile of accessories that you add. 

And I just discovered there are an additional two files you can purchase to use with the original doll to make her a Christmas Elf or a Butterfly (nononooooo keep me away from the purchase button hehehehe). I know back to the card.

Very simple colouring with Copics and extremely light colouring of wings to mimic the look of the wings in the original graphic. After colouring I added lots of Nuvo glitter that is visible in the close up shot if you click on it and enlarge.

I also darkened the image a bit to show the glitter a bit more butttt IRL yes the glitter is there.

I added sequins that included mini little flowers and stars to here garland as well as on the card.

Used the postage stamp die cut to cut the coloured layer and another layer in fun foam same size but it tends to stretch a bit when first cut. Added to a yellow card base that is actually softer than it looks here and a silver mirror cardstock 'happy birthday' diecut. Another birthday card ready to go.

Hello Sunshine Fairies

Ohhh yes I have used the delightful little fairies again from 'The Greeting Farm' called 'Fairy Happy'

and I have put them together with this sweet die cut 'Hello Sunshine' from Stamplorations.

I stamped four on the card itself and one I stamped on a scrap and fussy cut to sit on top of the die cut 'Hello sunshine'. I coloured all my fairies with Copics giving my little girls rainbow coloured hair this time and of course lots of sparkle that you cant see here.

If you click on this photo you will see that dress, wings and hair sparkle. And check out the sparkle of that silver on the 'hello sunshine' die cut. This silver paper is from 'The Ton' and its self adhesive and has lines through it and I LOVVVVVVVE it and would buy it by the ton (play on words there) if I could afford to. I die cut additional layers in funfoam in yellow and pink adding each layer to the next while it was still held in the original piece of fun foam therefore keeping it in good shape.

I also cut the 'hello sunshine' out of the front of the card so I could place the die cut properly. I added a bit of foam to the back of the fussy cut fairy and sat her at the top, added some sequins and there we are. I have done my first bit of colouring for the 30 Day Colouring Challenge.
