The Flower Challenge #1 - Reminder

We have reached the half way point in 'The Flower Challenge' so
its time to post a reminder and to share another card with
another style for additional ideas.
October : Anything Goes

Here I have used a background stamp from MFT (My Favourite
Things). I love this background and have totally enjoyed trying
lots of different ideas, each as stunning as the next.

In this instance I have gold embossed onto Multi media cardstock.
The gold embossing is amazing. But the cardstock confused me when I picked it
up and I thought it was Copic friendly so decided to do some Copic
colouring. (Just a warning here, you are not meant to colour over embossing
as the powder can cause damage to the nibs). In this instance I have gone
over the gold embossing as I wanted to blend the colours better. I do
colour over and around embossed images quite often and have had no damage
but that is my choice. I am going again advice here. Same on vellum I
always colour on the top where the embossing is as the colour is more vibrant
but that is my decision.)

Rather than colour the whole background piece I have chosen three
areas to colour so it is like spotlight colouring to draw more
attention to the coloured areas. I have blended yellows/oranges and red
to get this amazing colour. Trimmed the panel down and added a strip of
glitter tape each side then the gold die cut 'Amazing' also
from MFT. Finished off with a gold glitter enamel dot.

I hope this has given you some ideas. This amazing background is fantastic
stamped and coloured, embossed in white/gold/silver on black cardstock
vellum and coloured cardstock.

Thank you so much for coming to have a look and if you go here
you can see what the others in the Design Team have made. Also there
is a link there to The Flower Challenge if you would like to join us
with your own card.
Here is our banner  to use in our challenges.
We would love it if you care to display it on your
 blogs too
Also this one if you prefer to just add to your blogs
